MIDORIYA'S POV

"Damn," Sho said, dragging his eyes over my body. "He really did a number on you."

"You finally found someone that can give you everything you want," Iida said. "Wait," he grabbed my shoulder and turned me around. "He carved Kacchan's property on your ass."

"He did," I sighed. "And as much fun as I had and as much as I want to see him again, I can't."

Sho raised a brow. "Why? If you found someone that can scratch the itch that no one else can, why not see him again?"

"Because he's dangerous," I said.

"I thought you liked dangerous?" Sho questioned.

"Not in the good way. He's addicting. I have enough on my plate, and I don't need to be worried about him and the mafia on top of everything else." My father likes the idea of me dating someone from the mafia. I told him what we did was far from dating, but he didn't care. He thinks my sleeping with Kacchan would keep our alliance strong and that they'll think twice about betraying us.

I don't know why he trusts them so much. Kacchan could easily use this opportunity to get close to me and the others and learn about our weaknesses. He and the rest of the mafia could have a hidden agenda that we know absolutely nothing about.

What would happen then? They could wipe our entire organization. Well, at least the newest generation. The next generation is only fifteen, the next is eleven, then six, and the last is full of toddlers. If something happened to us, they would have to wait years and be vulnerable.

Why are they so willing to trust the mafia?

I finished getting dressed and grabbed my phone before storming through the apartment.

"Izu, where are you going?" Sho asked, moving quickly to catch up with me.

"To see my father." I went there a few days ago after my night with Kacchan, but now, after getting word that we are to work with them, I need more answers from my father. I need to know why he trusts them so much. He has to have close ties or undeniable proof that could take down at least a big chunk of them.

That, or my father has a hidden agenda. And if he does, I deserve to be a part of it.

"Son, what can I do for you?" My father took a short drag of his cigarette before sliding the box across the desk before doing the same with his lighter.

I grabbed a cigarette and lit it before sliding them back. "What's your purpose with the mafia? You want me to date one of them, and now you want to work with them? Why trust them so much?"

"First, I want you to marry one and have a family that will forever tie our alliance together." I raised a brow, wanting to question how he expected me to have this family. The idea of being with a woman romantically or sexually revolts me. "I do not trust them."

"Then why am I to work with them this week?"

We both took a long drag from our cigarettes as he studied me. "I think you need to spend more time with me. You're not ready to take over the Vipers."

"No shit," I murmured. "I'm twenty. I still have a lot to learn."

"We need to continue to build an alliance with them. I am working with the don to propose some marriages between us to officially integrate the Vipers with the mafia." He pointed his cigarette at me. "If we can join forces, we'll be unstoppable."
