We're back in business! Okay, the issue with my account was that when I saved a chapter, my internet went out at the two seconds it really shouldn't have. Ended up being able to restore previous saves and tried my best to finish the ending again and edit to get it out. Sorry, y'all.

MIDORIYA'S POV

I slammed the file shut, thankful to finally be done with the absurd amount of paperwork my father gave me. I came in earlier this week, telling him I wanted to get back to my training. He said we could, but so far, I've only done paperwork. He loathes doing it, so it's piled up. He has someone who helps with paperwork and the boring stuff, but I haven't seen him in a while.

There's a chance he isn't around anymore. My father tends to go through 'assistants' rather quickly because they either get greedy and take more than they're supposed to or get too comfortable and think they can do no wrong.

It's taken me nearly four days for me to get caught up on the paperwork. I haven't seen my friends or boyfriend, which is still weird to say.

Boyfriend.

I never thought I'd have another one after Sho.

I thought my father would throw a husband at me one day, and that would be the end of it.

"Done?" my father asked, walking over to the second desk he had put in his office so he could keep an eye on me. I technically have an office space, but I rarely use it since I'm on the field more often than I'm doing paperwork.

"Yes."

He grabbed the file and tossed it on his desk. "I need you to head to the chamber. We have new recruits that need training."

"On it." I practically jumped from my seat.

I don't necessarily like training the new members on bettering torture methods, but I'm willing to do anything that will get me away from paperwork.

I leave the room and head down the hall to the elevator. Since the chamber's in the basement, there's someone waiting to escort me, ensuring I don't turn the wrong way and stumble into something that I'm not ready for.

The ride to the basement was silent as one of my father's oldest friends stood by the panel, staring at me. J and I have never really gotten along. He gives me a bad vibe, and I don't like him. His blue eyes roamed my body, taking in every inch. It wasn't like when Iida or Sho roamed, though. They always look me over for injuries. J is roaming me like Kacchan does, and I feel fucking exposed. The way he stares at me makes me want to take a spoon to his fucking eyes.

"What?" I snapped.

He shook his head. "Nothing, prince."

When the doors slid open, he stepped to the side to let me walk off.

I felt his eyes on me as I walked down the hallway toward the chamber.

I hate it when he calls me prince. I have plenty of titles, and no matter how many times I tell him that prince isn't one of them, he continues to call me that anyway.

"Hello, sir," a goon says as I approach the door. He treated me with the respect he's supposed to, but he's never happy to see me down here. If we're both down here, that means I'm taking over his job, which he was literally hired to do.

I don't know why my father sent me down here if he was already here, but I'm not sure if I would have asked anyway. I need to be on my father's side, which means not being defiant.

I hate when parents think that their kids asking questions means they're defiant.

It doesn't. It just fucking means that they were curious.
