BAKUGO'S POV
"The bosses are here," Shitty Hair noted as we made our way up to the front door. Before either of us had the time to use our fingerprint, the door was being opened and we were being ushered inside.
"Where the hell have you two been?" Aizawa asked frantically. He was pissed but also freaking out.
"Taking care of things," I said. "We dropped the shipment off, had to deliver payment since things went south, had to clean up, and then made our way back here." The thing that took the longest was trying to find clothes that looked like something we would actually own.
"What the hell happened out there?" Aizawa asked.
"Everyone sit down and shut up," the boss barked from the living room. Immediately, everybody stopped talking. "Bakugo, what happened?"
"The Onyx Knives decided to start a war with all of us." They're fucking stupid, and although we killed a chunk of them, there's still so many of them running around campus. "They fired first. In the end, every member there had been murdered."
"By?"
"The Vipers. Specifically, Izuku Midoriya and Touya Todoroki." Watching him shatter teeth and jaws didn't turn me off, but it should have. His stoic expression never broke as he murdered at least a dozen people.
"And who shot Kaminari?" he asked, motioning to Dunce, who was sitting on his knees in the middle of the floor with his hands behind his back.
"Izuku Midoriya," I replied. My heart rate increased as I looked around for his fiancé, but I tried to calm it. Eye Bags was asleep on the couch, which I knew wasn't by choice. Aizawa looked like he might throw up.
"Why?" I hate when he asks me questions he already knows the answer to.
"Because he accidentally shot a member of the Vipers when Todoroki had stumbled and fallen into the path of the bullet." I want to protect Dunce, but I don't know how.
"And Izuku Midoriya chose to spare you?" he asked, turning back to Dunce. "Why?"
"He said because of the alliance with us and because it truly was an accident. An eye for an eye was enough," Dunce said, trying to keep the fear hidden.
"We don't have use for people who make mistakes. You know that," he lectured calmly. "What happens to people who make mistakes?"
Nobody answered him. We all knew what happened, but that wasn't a fate any of us had wanted for each other. Most of us have grown up together and have always had each other's backs. There are a few I wouldn't care about losing, but Dunce is one of them.
"Bakugo," the boss said, pulling my attention again. "You've been spending some time with Izuku Midoriya, correct?"
"Yes."
He pinched his mustache, twirling it with his index finger. "Why do you think he chose to spare him?" he asked, motioning to Dunce.
"I don't know. It wasn't from sympathy or empathy. He has Antisocial Personality Disorder. If he said he did it because of our alliance and that it was an accident, I assume that to be the truth," I said.
He clicked his tongue. "See, I want to believe this will be enough. However, I do not know if it will. Do we know the outcome of the Vipers member being shot?"
"He was alive, but I don't know anything else. I can call and ask if you would like," I offered. I don't know how else to help Dunce. But if someone in this room doesn't figure something out, he'll be dead soon.
We all know he'll be tortured by recruits, hoping to finally find their place in the mafia.
That's what happens when someone makes a mistake here. Especially one that could have potentially started a war.
