Chapter 1

Rhaena balance thick stacks of papers along with her handbag as she make her way to thr office. Her petite figure wasn’t made for carrying this much load. But her boss is a man who like having his way so the employees just go along with the rules.

That includes getting to the office at an ungodly hour. You get off work when he tell you to. Alot of employees quit because of that but Rhaena stayed because she has student loans to pay off and the the money is good.

Rhaena enter the tall glass building and sign in. She's craving food because she didn't eat much the day before.

"Rhaena Mr. Carr want to see you in his office."

"Thanks Liz." Rhaena set the papers on her desk and walk to her boss office. Did she mention he's a pervert? Well he is. He's a man in his sixties who like young woman.

She knock on the door before entering.

"Good morning Mr. Carr."

"Rhaena." He slide an envelope across the desk to her. "This is your last paycheck."

"What? Why are you firing me?"

"It's not personal."

Not personal my butt! It's beside I reject his stupid fat self yesterday! OK he want to play that game. I can play.

Putting on a bright smile, Rhaena take the envelope and left the office.

"So what did he want?"Liz asked.

"He fire me! Can you believe it? After all the work I put in for this company this is the thanks I get. I'll give him a wake up call."

Putting the envelope away, she grab all the files she bring in and walk to the industrial shredder in the other side of the room. She turn it on and dump everything in it. There's no way to restore it and there's not a digital copy. Well not at the company anyway.

"Oh my God."

"I stay up for hours since Monday to do his work and he fire me for no reason."

She turn off the shredder and was surprise at how free she felt.

"That felt good. Now I'm getting out of this place. It was a pleasure working with you guys."

She gather her possessions and wave to everyone before leaving. She took deep breaths then her stomach grumble. She look around to make sure no one hear and walk to her car.

It's time for her to look for a new job. Maybe she can find one that's better than her last.

She'll keep that in mind.
