Chapter 21

Rhaena take a deep breath as she walk into the black building. A new job, a new opportunity.

"Hi! I'm Mr. Valentine's new assistant."

"Yes. This is your badge for his floor and your tablet and computer."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome. Now up you go. He hate tardiness."

He's always late for everything yet he don't want people to be late. How hypocritical.

Rhaena walk to the elevator and scan her card. The screen show the top floor so she got on and the door close.

She was excited to start her first day. A normal job finally.

When the elevator stop she got off.

"Hi. You must be Rhaena."

"Yes. Good morning."

"Here's your schedule and the boss will see you in his office."

Rhaena thank her and walk to the black door at the end of the hallway.

She take a deep breath before knocking. "Come in."

She open the door and enter. She was surprise this office wasn't black. Instead it's white with golf accents.

"Come. You have alot of work to do. Your desk is there along with a new computer. Can you do the accounts? I trust you with it."

"Of course."

She set her bag down and then sit. She was more than happy to get started. Finally a normal job again. She might not be a normal woman again but at least she has a normal job.

A knock came at the door and Daemon give the order to come in.

"Mr. Valentine your eight is here."

"Send them in. Rhaena put your headphones on."

"Or I can just leave the room." He give her a look that said no more arguing. She sigh and dig into her bag. "I don't have them."

He open his drawer and take out his, handing them to her. She take them put in. She connect and turn the music up.

Two men enter the room and Rhaena make herself as invisible as possible.
