I look around the corner of the small shed, a small light from the home cast a shadow beneath the two guards by it. I turned facing the woods then looked to the left, my eyes facing a pair of hazel ones.
"There's two guards right outside the house, do you think we can get around them?"I turned the corner of the small shed to see if they had left, their black figures still stood against the light of the house, I shifted back towards her, waiting for an answer before a voice chimed in.
"We should be able to get around the guards if we go out back around the house to get Shea. "I looked too Jameson thinking to myself before Elizabeth started.
"We don't wanna risk anything, if they find out we are here they'll for sure put a bullet in her before we can even get to her." I looked at Jameson then Elizabeth, I turned the corner of the shed again where the light was growing dim.
"Jameson, do you have any more of those throwing knives?" I turned back from the corner again looking at him.
"Is five enough?" I pulled the piece of cloth to the top of my nose before taking the knives.I gave one to Elizabeth and held another between my two fingers.
"On my count Eliza, 3, 2, 1-"The knives hit, killing the two guards at the front of the house.
"You two stay here, I'll make sure it's clear. "I ran to the front door of the house, opening it slightly looking through the small crack. I saw three men sitting at a table enjoying some kind of dessert, motioning them to come over. I opened the door a bit more, slipping inside not far behind Jameson and Elizabeth followed.
I looked at Elizabeth and Jameson nodding to them and getting it returned before I pulled the revolver out of my holster, Elizabeth and Jameson followed.
We barged through the threshold of the door pointing the revolvers at the men.The three men instinctively threw their hands in the air, Jameson grabbed the man in the chair holding his revolver against his head.
I pointed my revolver at the other two men. "Where is she?"
The men didn't reply. "Answer the damn question before he loses his head." I looked to Jameson and then back to the two men, I nodded waiting to hear this man's fate before one of them finally spoke up. "She's in the basement, there's a small hatch that leads down there outside." "I'm sure you wouldn't mind showing Mrs. M where she is, me and Mr. W will watch your friends here."
The man nodded leading Elizabeth outside to the small door.
We tied the two men together, after about 5 minutes Elizabeth walked in, behind her was a young woman with auburn hair and a scar on her chin. "Are you sure that's her?" "Oh, shut up Amber." She retorted back to me. "It's good to see you too, Shea."
I looked at Shea, her dusty, bruised face and messy auburn hair. "Looks like you had fun." She managed a glare from her light-blue eyes.
"The one time I volunteered to be the bait and you fools screw it up." "Well, you can't exactly blame it all on us, we didn't realize there was gonna be bounty hunters there."
"Didn't we all." I pulled the cloth from my face sticking my revolver back in my holster before walking outside to the fence, the sunrise touching the mountains.
"We better get back, It's almost morning." I turned to Shea.
"Your choice, Shea, ride with me Jameson or Eliza." I patted Junior before sticking my boot in the stirrup and swinging my leg up around him.
"I'll ride with Elizabeth." She walked over to Elizabeth, her hand held out to help her on Patricia.
"Don't worry Shea, Sybils at camp more than rested up. We made sure to take great care of her, well Ghale and Brandy did." I tapped the stirrups to Junior's side leading him beside Patricia before stopping and removing a piece of salted meat from my bag.
"I can only imagine how hungry you are, take it, you can have more when we get back to camp." She took it from my palm and had a few bites before finishing the small piece of meat.
"Now remember, don't head straight back to camp and make sure you're not followed." Jameson hopped on River and nodded before riding off into the woods, Elizabeth and Shea started down the small trail out to the dirt road. I tapped on Junior's side cantering down a dirt road leading out to the small town, Bayfield.
