I looked to Archie, a sorrowful look in his eyes, I walked over to him and pulled him away from the table by his arm. "You write that letter and tell her; I'll take it into town tomorrow."

He nodded walking to his tent, with Thomas ending the small meeting, as the sky turned into a beautiful array of colors I sat and watched it when I was joined by Brandy. "Amber, what are you doing?" I picked the small boy up and watched the sun slowly fall behind the mountains. "Watching the sunset, it's very pretty don't you think?" He turned to the mountain now hiding the sun and nodded.

"Brandy? Oh, there you are-" Penny walking over. "I'm so sorry Amber is he bothering you?" I turn to her, putting the boy down." Not at all." She sighed. "It's time to get him to bed if you don't mind me taking him." I tipped my hat to her before she walked off, I stood so captured by the sight I didn't hear Joseph behind until he put his hands on my waist.

I leaned back into his chest, finding comfort and warmth in him, I turned to him, pulling me closer I slightly tilted my head up meeting his green eyes, a grin formed on his lips, with that I pulled the collar of his shirt down with my hand, our lips meeting in a sweet kiss.

When we pulled apart my eyes never left his, my cheeks felt like they were on fire at the sudden act of affection. "What was that for?" he said, looking at my feet he lifted my head with his hand making me look at him. "Can't I show you some love?" He smiled down at me. "I don't mind."

As the sun disappeared, only the slight shape of the mountain stood out from the starry night. He stepped back, taking your left hand. "It fits right?" I smiled at his concern. "Yes, it's perfect." I smiled at him before looking out to the mountains. "I better head off to my tent, see you tomorrow?"

He nodded, turning to stay watch for the night.

I laid in my bed thinking about what we were going to do about Archie.

It has been two days since Thomas announced we were moving so suddenly; it's been a little since I wrote in my journal as well but here, I am writing before I help Archie, rescue his one true love Ida WitMoore, God, when did I start playing the older sibling, this is Josephs job. Even if this all may be out of the way for me Archie has kept my mind off of the fact we are moving real soon, but not entirely.

May 16, 1866.

"Archie, you about ready to go?" I said as he finished putting the saddle on copper. "Shortly, when are we gonna finish packing up?"

"When we get back." He turned. "Just a minute I'll be back."

He walked off towards the tents while I finished tightening my saddle to Junior before swinging up on to him, soon Archie returned. "C'mon, let's get this done with."

I tapped Juniors sides cantering down the cliffside with Archie on Copper not far behind, when we got to the dirt road Archie Road beside me. "What did she say exactly, when you went to say goodbye?"

He looked over at me before speaking." Something about her father, he has her locked up in the house and she wants to come with me."

"I knew she liked you, but I didn't think she would leave her wealth for you."

He rolled his eyes. "Oh, c'mon I'm just messing with you."

I pulled the reins slightly as we entered the small town, stopping at a hitching post I hopped off Junior leaving him to rest.

The evening sun casted a large shadow from the mansion we stood in front of. "What do you want?"

A guard sitting by the door said. "I got an invite from Ida WitMoore, she said her father wanted to meet me." "Right this way ma'am"
