Out of the Garage

You can't wait to leave this stupid station. Leon started calling the fedora man Mr. X when he appeared on the landing. You guys had to dodge him again. Rushing back downstairs, you guys have to take the long way around to the chief's office. Claire solves the puzzle of the wires, and the door beeps open. Claire grabs the card, and the phone starts to ring. She picks it up. Leon and you watch as she talks.
"Hello? What are you talking about?" She looks at something I'm her hand, "the Pendant? What do you need it for?" She scoffs, "Fine! Where are you? The Orphanage? Where's that? Is Sherry alright?" She gets more agitated, "I swear, you bastard, if you hurt her -" she takes the phone away from her ear, "Are you serious? Damnit!" She turns around after placing the phone down.
"That asshole has Sherry at the Orphanage. He wants this Pendant." She shows you guys the necklace.
"Right, let's go get her then." You rub your hands together.
"Wait, I think we should take the parts and also get Ben's card. He might also have something else of use on him to help us." Leon says while grabbing the parts.
You and Claire share a look but nod, "Right, let's go then."
Heading back downstairs and through the maze of halls to get back to the garage and avoiding Mr. X, you finally reach the jail cells again.
"Wait, if we turn on power, aren't all the other doors gonna open too? There's a ton of zombies in here..." You point out after Leon places the parts, but before he connects them.
"She's right." Claire nods, "Maybe we should kill them quickly just in case..."
Leon looks at both of you before nodding. He and Claire go back and shoot the zombies. You get the wires set up, but don't connect them yet. "All clean." Leon says, coming back over. You nod and finish the wires. The door beeps and opens. Leon goes into the cell, and you walk back over to Claire, not wanting to see his dead body again. You both jump as alarms and blaring red lights go off. All the doors open in the jail.
"Glad we killed the zombies..." Claire mumbles to you. Leon comes rushing over.
"I found a recording, and Mr. X is called a tyrant. Ben was investigating an underground lab run by the umbrella and the Berkins." He looks like he found the key to life itself. You all look down the long hallway as pounding steps thunder down towards you.
"Shit!" Claire and you say as Leon pulls the lever beside us.
"Move, move!" He yells as we go through the door. We loop around behind the cells and go back to the main corridor before rushing off back to the garage. As you head in, the wall beside Leon explodes, and you all duck to avoid the debris. You scream as Mr. X grabs Leon by the throat before also grabbing you. Your scream cuts off as you dangle beside Leon. Claire had gotten knocked back and hit her head. She was trying to recover and grab her gun. You hear a car start up, and headlights flash into your periphery.
It drives into the tyrant, and you and Leon fall to the ground, coughing as you try and regain your air.
Ada gets out of the car, looking perfectly fine. How after ramming into a creature and wall? No idea but you're not questioning it.
"This is getting old. Saving your asses, that's twice!" She says as she walks away from the car to the middle of the garage. You help Claire up and follow Leon as he slowly walks after her.
"Didn't think we were keeping score."
"This isn't a game!" She raises her voice in annoyance. The car starts to move, and you all turn to look at it. Leon draws his gun.
"You've gotta be kidding me!" He groans.
"Nothing dies down here." Ada says as she pulls out a remote and detonates the car. It explodes, and you cover Claire as some debris flies off. None hit you guys, thankfully as you watch the flames.
You all turn to stare at Ada, everyone in shock but her.
"I take it you have the key card?" She holds out her hand to Leon.
He nods. "Yeah, and this. I'm hoping you can explain what's on it?" Leon throws a tape recorder to her. He sways his arms, stretching out.
You hand Claire some healing herbs and then take some yourself, "Yeah, after I hear it." She replies, still Hella annoyed. You roll your eyes.
"How you doing claire?" You whisper to her as you follow Leon and Ada out of the garage and up the ramp. Leon and her are talking again, but you focus on your friend.
"I'm OK, feeling better after the herbs. Worried for Sherry." You nod to her and look towards Leon and Ada. "I don't trust her." Claire whispers even quieter to you. "Look, I think you should stay with them, no offense to Leon, but he's too trusting. He needs someone to watch his back. I can get to the orphanage. I saw it on the map, I'll get Sherry, and we'll meet you somewhere. We have our walkies." She pats the walkie-talkie still on her hip.
You debate about it in your mind. "Are you sure? I feel like I should be helping with Sherry. I did use to babysit her..."
Claire nods and motions with her head at Ada and Leon as Ada picks a lock on the gun shop. "He needs more babysitting right now, and I like Sherry. Plus, I have guns. I can get places easier by myself, no offense..."
You smile to your friend sadly but nod, "You're right. I would probably slow you down. OK, I'll stay with Leon again. But be safe and don't die, ok?" You hug her tightly before handing her lots of herbs.
"You two coming?" Leon comes back over to you both.
"I'm going to get Sherry, Sera is gonna stay with you and Ada. I can get Sherry myself and then meet you two." Claire points to the alleyway gate that's beside the shop.
Leon nods, "OK, fine, but keep in touch." He clasps her shoulder. She nods and salutes as she leaves. You watch her go for a second up the stairs before following Leon. Ada is standing with her arms crossed by the opened door.
"Are you done? We need to keep moving."
You glare at the women as you follow them through the store.
"Dont move." You stop as a man in a plaid yellow shirt points a gun at Leon.
"I'm not gonna hurt you..." Leon says calmly.
"I said: DONT MOVE!" The man is clearly scared as he keeps the gun on Leon.
"I'm just passing through. I'm gonna ask you to lower the weapon." Leon continues.
"Like hell you are. You're gonna turn around and go right back out the way you came in." His voice is slightly hoarse.
You look behind him at the little girl in the doorway when she breathes shallowly just like a zombie.
"I think your daughter needs help, sir..." The man cocks his gun as Leon says that.
"Don't tell me how to deal with my daughter." He replies, with a sadness to it.
Ada steps out of the shadows, "Drop it." She has her gun pointed at the girl.
The man points the gun between the two before stepping in front of Adas gun.
"No wait!"
You bite your lip as you stay back, not wanting to witness this scene but having to watch. "We need to terminate her before she turns." Ada says coldly to the man.
"Terminate? That's my fucking daughter!" The man is pissed.
"Ada... just let them be." She lowers her gun and you sigh in relief for the man.
"Emma, sweetheart, I told you to stay put..." He slowly backs up and turns as the little girl mumbles something you can't quite hear but sounds like dad.
You quickly wipe a tear as he hugs his daughter and mumbles to her.
Leon walks closer and you follow suit.
"Those fucking things outside. Look what they did to us..." He looks up at Leon then, "You're a cop, you're supposed to know something-how did this happen?! Huh?!" Leon just looks over at Ada and so do you. She glances between you two but doesn't say anything. "She was our sweet little angel." The little girl says mommy in a weak tone and you turn away to cover your face and tears.
You knew of Kendo and his gun shop... you never personally met them but you knew enough to feel absolutely shattered for this small family. You barely here anything else as you compose yourself and sniffle. Just when you think you're doing OK, another thing reminds you of what a nightmare is happening.
"You know, it's one thing to keep the truth from us... but why him!" Leon yells at Ada. You all turn as you hear a muffled gunshot. You cover your mouth to keep the sob in. "I wanna find out what's happening here and stop whoevers behind it. Helping people like them... that's why I joined the force!" You smile sadly at Leon's impassioned speech. You walk over to him and squeeze his hand.
Ada looks at you two, "My mission is to take down Umbrella's entire operation. We may not make it out."
"Whatever it takes to save this city, count me in."
"Me too. I don't care, I wanna take down the fucks who did this." You nod to Ada and Leon returns your squeeze. She nods and walks off.
"Have you heard of the Umbrella cooperation?"
