POV: Amelia

Ophelia and I sat at another table beside a window in the restaurant. Since Ophelia specifically requested that she does NOT want Rose to be apart of this conversation, I moved seats temporarily.

Ophelia didn't go to the same high school as me but I have math lectures with her. We never actually talked until my second year of university, and she was really nice to me, although acted cold towards the other students. She was very beautiful as well, I could see why Cosmo would like a girl like her. I'm going to be honest, Ophelia is one of the very few people that are perfect and inspire me.

But ever since she started dating Cosmo (which was some time in my third year of university) she's been giving me dirty looks secretly and using that cold attitude towards me. She's still nice to me, just not... so much now.

Apparently Ophelia (according to the newspaper) was born from a rich family that sells oil and owns oil mines. So you can see her carrying around the brands Gucci and Chanel products around.

From she STARTED dating Cosmo I've tried my best to avoid her. Never did I imagine she would sitting right in front of me with both her arms and legs crossed along with a cold glare.

I looked around awkwardly and glanced at Rose a bit. It was really awkward at that moment and I didn't really know what to say. Hey, she was the one that asked me to talk to her!

"Amelia." She said so sternly that it made me jump.

"Sorry, I'm here to ask you about what you did in high school to Cosmo, according to him. I know what happened, I just want to clarify." She explained.

"Oh, well," I started and look to the floor. "Its exactly what he told you. I posted a picture of him on the internet and he became the laughing stock of the school. It wasn't my idea though just to clarify, I was only apart of it." I admitted.

"So you really are a selfish fool. You deserved to get bullied then." She said coldly to me and it just made me feel more guilty than I was before.

"If your going to say something bad about someone, at least talk behind there back so they don't feel bad." I said and looked out the window.

"Sorry. Here," Ophelia said and started digging around in her bag. Then she pulled out a few hundred dollars (USD) and placed it in front of me. "Take that and go buy yourself something nice to feel better." She said calmly and then left just like that. I took the money in my hands and stared at it blankly.

Back then when I was in high school, I was only a teenager and all I cared about what reputation other than peoples feelings. That's also one of the reasons I started dating Zachary, my ex. He was one of the popular basketball jocks and many people had a crush on him, including me. So when he came to sit at my table at lunch, I was overjoyed. Zachary and I became friends and soon enough he asked me out and we got together.

Cosmo was a quiet kid in my class, he didn't talk much and didn't raise his hand unless he had to go use the bathroom or the nurse. I didn't really care who he was or what he is like so when My friends (including Zachary) decide to post that picture of him on the internet, and then print it and put pictures of him on the notice board, I didn't care.

I never had cared. Until my high school life ended.

I could hear Rose running towards me and I looked up to glance at her.

"Amelia! What did she ask you about?" She asked eagerly.

"She asked me about the Cosmo situation in high school." I said

"Ohhh, that. Couldn't she asked her boyfriend about it?" Rose asked with her hands on her hips.

"I know right?" I agreed.

"Anyway now that's over, you must be feeling pretty down right now. I'll buy you a drink!" She offered and ran off to the counter.

"Thanks!" I called after her. I sit back and stare at the ceiling processing thoughts. What am I processing? realizing that when I was in high school I was a big jerk and didn't care about people at all and just feel like wanting to go back in time and change everything. Moral of the story, don't date someone until you've know them for at  least a month.

Well Ophelia literally just gave me three hundred dollars to spend so I might as well. When Rose brought back my drink we hang out some more then I decided to venture off into the city to buy my self something (Hey, when I get free money, I'm going to spend it).

I walked through the streets. It wasn't very crowded because the sun was already setting but most shops were still open. After some more walking I found a shop that sells manga, so I decided to check it out.

Inside the shop was this comfy atmosphere with Japanese music playing in the background. It was small but spacious with shelves fulling up the room. You know, I'm pretty sure the next book of Magic Academia was out! I've been wanting to get that book for so long but studies have been keeping me busy.

Lucky me, I found the next volume on the shelves. I took it up, flipped through the pages a bit too make sure it was correct and heading to the cashier.

"Good evening, I'd like to buy this book." I said friendly.

"Sure, Magic Academia 'ey? that's a good book. I'm a fan of the series too!" The cashier replied to me and started scanning it.

"That's good to hear-" I suddenly stopped. Wait a second, I know that voice... "Zachary?" I asked and looked up at the cashier's face. When I saw his face I almost had a heart attack. Although he was older now, I could recognize it with a blink. In front of me, scanning my manga book was my ex that left me on the last day of high school, Zachary.
