POV: Cosmo

I watched as Amelia rushed into her room and shut the door. Jamal and I just glanced at each other.

What happened to her?" Jamal asked in a curious tone.

"Not sure, probably something that happened." I replied. I leaned closer to Jamal and whispered "remember the bet" and he nodded. "I should probably ask her about it." I said out loud.

I started thinking, what should I do to make her feel better. I usually cook food for Ophelia when she feels bad, so I might as well do that.

"I'll cook dinner for her." I said and Jamal gave me a side ways glance as I sat up.

"Do you know what she likes?" He asked.

"She likes Salmon, I know that for a fact because sometimes when she carried lunch to school in highschool, she would bring salmon for lunch." I explained. "But then, I'm not sure if she has any allergies or anything." I sighed.

"Thats another thing to ask her~" Jamal said streching the her.

"Well, the suns setting so I'll get cooking. Are you gonna stick around?" I asked Jamal that was staring very intently at his phone.

"What?" He said after a moment and looked up. "Oh, nah I wouldn't want to get caught inbetween you and Amelia's bonding."

"Thats fine." I said like it was alright but was kind of sad that I had to do this on my own.

"Hello?" Jamal put his phone up to his ear as I opened the freezer.

"Oh! Right, shoot! Sorry on my way." Jamal exclaimed and scrambled up. He ran to the door and quickly slipped his shoes one.

"Dude, I totally forgot about a project I had to do with some other people." He said while bouncing around impatiently.

"Alright cool see ya!" I said and waved. He bolted out the door and once the door was closed the place felt more quiet, but more lonely. I could feel a smile sneaking on to me face as I defrosted the salmon.

After a few hours or rushed cooking, I was finally done with dinner. The hot riced steamed off the plate as I looked at Amelia's door that entered into her room.

Suprisingly, the door opened and it made Cosmo jump. Amelia stepped out with messy hair and the same clothes she was wearing before, T-shirt and jeans.

I walked over to her and stopped right beside her, waiting for her to stop rubbing her eyes. When she finally stopped she upped and me and started into my eyes. She looked tired, tired but worried.

"Co... Cosmo?" She said quietly. Hearing her say my name so softly like that was new.

Those pictures on the notice board was a permanent scar on my memory. I walked through those halls as the laughing stock, Amelia was the cause for it all, all of it. That is why I hate her.

In my head, her evil laughing still ringed like a bad memory, the way how she let her friends beat me up during highschool. The fact she wouldn't do anything but smirk and look at me with cunning eyes.

And now, these sames eyes, staring right back at me looking as tired as ever, really made me question who she really is.

"Yes?" I asked back. The silence was loud and the clock ticked loudly. I looked away from her for a while to check on the food, when I turned back tears were running down her face. Slight panic arised in my chest.

"Whoa! Amelia, are you okay?" I asked reaching for her but not touching her. I started waving my hands anxiously trying to figure out what to do. She wipped her tears and then looked back at me.

"Sorry, I just... you wont believe who I saw today." She said softly. I wanted to ask her who but I hesitated.

"You can tell me over dinner." I said gently and wiped another tear that was about to roll down her cheek.

"Dinner? You made dinner?" She asked suprised. I led her to the table and, thankfully (PRAISE THE LORD-) the food was still warm. We both sat down and Amelia looked at it with glittering eyes.

"How did you get salmon?" She asked and pointed at it.

"I've actually had it for a while now. I wanted to purposely eat it in front of you and not give you any but change of plans." I said cheerfully.

"Ha." She chuckled and ate the salmon happily. "Oh, I also wanted to apologize for something, I don't know if its too late or not or if you would accept it." She said nervously.

"Oh?" I asked like I had no clue, but I had a gut feeling I do.

"I'm very sorry for what happened in highschool, for the way I treated you and what I had done." She apologized.

I was silent, I didn't know what to say. I stared at my food and suddenly felt ill. "Really?" I said finally as I found my voice.

"Really!" She exclaimed. "I was just a teenanger back then and didn't know what was right or wrong. I also wanted you to know that the-"

"Stop. Just stop talking." I cut her off. She looked up at me silent. It was after a while I was able to force a smile on to my face.

"Don't say anymore, I don't know if I can forgive you, but thank you." I said and gave her a smile. What I said was only fifty percent true. I really didn't know if I can forgive her that easily and I am won't say thank you just yet.

She smiled at me back. "Thats great to hear."

"Well, eat up! The foods getting cold." I joked and she giggled. We chatted a while over dinner and Amelia ended up asking for seconds.

We didn't sleep until eleven o' clock. After I said goodnight to her I went into my room and shut the door. My mask of happiness fell off and I sank to the floor. I leaned against the door and covered my face then looked up at the ceiling.

I didn't know what to do, I started thinking more of the bet that I agreed with. The one that would prove my honor. But I'm not sure what to do anymore.

Worst of all Ophelia seems to be cheating on my with some other guy. I dont think I've seen him on campus (probably have just don't remember, theres like over two hundred people here) but I have to go deal with that too.

When I was talking to Amelia, I was getting to know her more and more and start feeling comfortable laughing around her like how I feel comfortable with Jamal and Chase (not really Ophelia.)

What was going to happen to our relationship now. I sat there in the dark staring at the wall across from me, and I had a feeling Amelia was doing the same.
