Deliver me into the hands of fate
Alone, I walk a path of self-hate
I am unworthy of your gentle touch
My smile faded, lost in shadows clutch

I cling to your words, pressed to my lips
Cherishing memories of your sweet eclipse
A life without your light, a bleak abyss
The fight abandoned, sealed with a final kiss

In the silence of night, I mourn the loss
A poet's heart, broken, bearing the cost
Of a love that slipped through trembling hands
Leaving behind only empty sands

So, if you love me, let me go
And watch me fade into the afterglow
For I am a poet, cursed to feel
