part 6: the plan

In season 2 part 5: we see something that is happening in jones's mind. In his dream, slone appears, asking jones if he can trust her. Confused, jones says that he does trust her and that she has changed. But at that moment, the figure that once was slone changes their appearance and turns into geno. Vision geno asks the same question, but jones says no because he has not changed. The figure then turns into kado and terrifies jones, waking him up. After waking up, jones then ask the same question slone asked in the dream. Slone said that it was his choice to trust her. After that, shimmerdusk announces that they should go leave. When they tried to leave, kado appeared infront of them and knocked them out. We then see a memory of shimmerdusk, a conversation with her and slone, they talk about what happened with shimmerdusk and kado. How they met. And how kado tricked her. After remembering the memory, shimmerdusk wakes up and she realizes that slone and jones are not awake yet

"YOU TWO WAKE UP," shimmerdusk says. Slone is the first to wake up due to the fact that she has not been through a lot. But jones, he was out for longer due to the fact that he gets knocked out several times in this journey. When they are both finally awake, jones and slone tries to send the scouting drone she took with them, but she finds out that kado took it, when she realizes she decides to just wander the maze normally to see if there is anything special. When she sees a few things she makes a plan of escape. "Ok so I realized that there are guards and henchman in some points of the maze," slone says. "But why are there guards in a maze, as if its not already hard enough," jones asks. "Look jones, I do not know this stuff, im just trying to make a plan," says slone. "Anyway, most of the guards are together so if we break them up and knock them out one by one, we should be able to escape without anyone trying to stop us," slone says. Slone looks at jones and shimmerdusk, they both nod, the plan has begun

Jones tries to distract some guards while slone and shimmerdusk knock the others out. When the plan begins, Jones just throws a rock at a guard to get him pissed, from there, the guard follows him and shimmerdusk and slone knock the other guards out. When slone and shimmerdusk knocks the other guards out, jones knocks out the guard that he led somewhere else. When they are done with one group of guards they move on to the next. This cycle repeats until all the guards are knocked out. When all the guards are gone, the crew makes their way near to exit when kado thorne once again swoops in and knocks them out. It takes a longer time for all of them to get back up but when they are all back on their feet, slone decides to explore again to see if anythings changed. When she sees scouts she cannot believe it, an entire new batch of guards are there in the maze.

When slone reports back to jones and shimmerdusk they are both confused, how did kado get an entire new batch of henchmen in just a short amount of time. But thats when they realize, they did not know how much time had passed So while it did not feel like a long time, it had been a long time. So, slone thinks of a plan, one that could result in one of them getting left behind. But since slone could not think of anything else, she told jones and shimmerdusk the plan. "So one of us will go distract the guards one at a time, and then that person will knock that guard out when they have gotten far enough. When all of the guards are knocked out, kado will be waiting at the exit and he will knock the ONE person trying to escape. So while one of us is being taken back, the other is escaping. then after this happens again, there will be one left to escape on their own," Slone says.
