he got me going far just to see him

EARLY; SOULBYSEL (1:27)

"I mean, if your friends don't want you then I do."

Minho shrugged his shoulders, walking behind Jisung who was anxiously stomping down the hallway to the doorstep of his shared apartment.

"Not now Minho! I'm so fucking worried where the hell are all my friends?"
Jisung huffed as his shaky hands fumbled with his house key before jamming it into the keyhole. Upon hearing what Jisung said, Minho lifted both his hands up jokingly, surrendering to the other boys wants.
After the supposedly mundane task of unlocking a door became one of the hardest things Jisung had to do in his panicked state, he finally got the door open. He twisted the doorknob and the door flew to a whole other continent.

"HELLO!!! WHERE IS EVERYONE! WHY ISNT ANYONE ANSWERING MY CALLS?"
Jisung yelled, sweat making his palms clammy from this anxiety he was feeling from not knowing where his unbiological family was.
And yet, there was no answer to Jisung's screams.
Minho could sense the tense air surrounding Jisung as he noticed how the boy fidgeted with the hem of his shirt and how quickly he was breathing.

"Hey darling, calm down please. Let's take this slow okay. Why don't we start by checking all the rooms?"
The comfort Minho was offering felt like an ice pack had been slapped on the back of Jisung's neck. Unexpected and shocking, but relieving and necessary at the same time. It was a wake up call dipped in sugar syrup, and Jisung really appreciated that. He looked into Minho's stern yet calm eyes before leaning his forehead onto Minho's chest.

"Thanks Minho. I needed that."
No reply was needed as Minho threaded his hand through Jisung's hair as acknowledgment.

"Well this certainly wasn't on my 2024 bingo list."

Seungmin spat, his tone lined with shock and a tinge of disgust. The gobsmacking scene of Jisung and Minho hugging reflecting off his cornea sent him into a frozen state of shock. He initially left his bedroom to check what all the sudden screaming was about at 10am in the morning, but it looks like he was in for a surprise.

"Pouty why did u leave the bed?"
Hyunjin entered the living room, throwing his hands around Seungmin with no mind to look up to check if anyone else was in the room.

"NOW THAT ALSO WASN'T WHAT I THOUGHT I'D COME HOME TO."
The scream Jisung scrumpt left the other three boys clutching their ears so save their lives. The expression Jisung had on his face now mirroring the exact look Seungmin had given him a millisecond ago.

"SEUNGIE YOU AND THAT BLONDE GUY?"
Jisung, once again screamed, obliterating everyone's eardrums.

"and you Hanji, have very obvious hickeys on your neck."
Seungmin, very much calmer than Jisung, deadpanned.

"aye yo what's good man?"
Hyunjin's hands left Seungmin's body as he walked towards Minho to dab him up. Minho, as oblivious as Hyunjin was that this was an odd situation, also walked towards Hyunjin to return the greeting as well as the handshake, leaving both Jisung and Seungmin  glued to the floor with a million questions passing their frontal lobe.

After that very unforeseen circumstance, the four boys were now seated on the sofa. Jisung next to Minho as they sat across the other two boys who were also seated next to each other.

"You, Chan and Innie left me all alone at the damn warehouse after that stupid racing event ended." Seungmin's anger from the night before flooding his rational thoughts, making his comment sound rather accusatory.

"I was lucky Hyunjin  was kind enough to send me home" Seungmin  continued.

"He didn't just SEND you Seungie, why is he STILL here with his hands all over you?" Jisung's voice was laced with concern, showing his overprotectiveness over Seungmin. He really did care for the boy. They have been friends for as long as he could remember and he knew Seungmin was one of the more vulnerable members in his friend group so he felt responsible for the boy's safety. He also has known the boy long enough to know that he hated physical touch, especially with strangers. So why the hell was he okay with Hyunjin literally rubbing all over him like a touch deprived cat?

Hyunjin, still appallingly oblivious to the conversation happening right under his nose, still had his left arm hugging Seungmin's waist unbelievably close to his own body as he rested his chin on Seungmin's shoulder.

"YOU are asking ME that? You have way more explaining to do about those overly obvious marks on your neck? What mosquito are you going to blame that on huh Hanji?" Seungmin replied.

For some reason, Minho couldn't read the room either, probably why he and Hyunjin  were friends. He raised his hands in surrender as he uttered the words "guiltyyyyy" after hearing what Seungmin  said.
Jisung scoffed at Minho's reaction and gave him a tight smack on his shoulder.

Jisung was honestly tired of the back and fourth argument with Seungmin. And by that I mean he knew any argument with Seungmin was a losing game, the boy was a valedictorian. Jisung was stupid, but not stupid enough to think he was smarter than Seungmin. With that, Jisung got up from his seat and walked over to Seungmin. He pulled him out of Hyunjin's grip and hugged the boy instead.

"Look I'm really sorry I left you alone last night Seung. I can't undo it but I really do feel guilty that I got so carried away with spending the night with someone else I forgot about my own friends who have been there for me my entire life."
Jisung sincerely apologised, his arms still tightly wrapped around Seungmin's smaller frame.
Undeniably, Seungmin was shocked by the sudden apology, he knew Jisung was the kind to never back down even if it meant doing something really stupid. But he accepted and appreciated it nonetheless, hugging Jisung back and utter a soft 'it's ok'.

Seungmin pulled away from the hug as he made eye contact with Jisung, the look of concern still plastered across his face.

"We still need to find out where Chan and Innie are."
Seungmin said as Jisung nodded eagerly in reply, equally concerned for his missing friends as Seungmin was.

"Um guys... your fox looking friend might be at Felix's place..."
Hyunjin muttered, looking up from his phone.
