"Good morning ma'am," Promise bowed. "Is that you Precious?" Daniella called from her bed. "Yes ma'am." Promise answered not bothering to correct her. There was no point the spoilt brat did not care and she really needed to pay from the job."I need your phone." She jumped up, with a smile on her face. Promise frowned, "what of?" Daniella glared at her.
"What for? That is none of your business! Give me the damn phone Precious!" she emphasised the name.
"But.." Daniella pulled the phone from her pocket before she could said anymore, she turned to phone to the back. "An iPhone X, how cheap." Daniella tsked. She went to Promise's instrgram quickly and logged into her profile. She had gained more seven thousand new followers overnight. Everyone was speculating what had happened and who was the con artist. Why Daniella stopped the life stream. She notice that bloggers and news outlets had it all over their page.
Oh that was bad, her parents did not like themselves trending so they made their private life private and now she put their business out there, showing Denise's face, her mother's face and her father's face. She read through the comment and it was mixed with love and hatred. Some were in support of her decisions, others hated why she would bring such a drama to social media and why was her parent so gullible to believe the girl was their child. Some thought it was mainly just a skit for clout and many others speculated and dissected what could be her reasoning for bringing it to social media.
She smirked, Denise was getting roasted in her commented section and she loved to see it. The thing with the internet was that once they like you, they will always be like soldiers for you and help you with all the fright you do. Some made videos and she could say that the internet was on fire. She smiled happily, that was what she wanted, she was getting exactly what she wanted.
"Daniella!" Daniella stiffened, Her father standing by her door side, staring at her, with fury. His lips thinned as the maid assigned to her started shaking from fear that she would lose her job.
"Daddy! What are you doing here?" she hid the phone under her duvet, trying to act normal. Shettima scoffed, "Who do you think you are fooling Ella? Why did you give her your phone?" He turned to Promise, who looked down.
"I am sorry sir, she snatched my phone away from my hand, I couldn't..." Shettima shook her head, "Just leave it alone, go out, I want to talk to Ella."
Daniella stood and scratched her head. Shettima pulled out her chair and sat.
"I am sorry I destroyed your phone but you know what you did yesterday was awful right?" Daniella blinked. "I am sorry Daddy, I was not thinking." Shettima sighed.
"Do not do anymore, your live stream has caused so much damage now. Now we have to do damage control because your live stream caused an internet Frenzy!" Daneilla's mouth opensd. How would she reply that? She was sorry? But sorry was not enough. She knew she messed up really badly.
"Follow me, the PR associates are here." Denise was right. Shettima was trying to do damage control but there was nothing she could, she was the one who messed up.
When they got down to the living room, Denise and Sheila were sitting already waiting for them. Daniella blinked, her mind went back to the discussion she had with her mother last night. She was not happy with the way the conversation ended but she had other priorities. Daniella took her seat next to her father, across from the Damilare faces.
"Good morning everyone," the younger woman smiled. "Mr Arabowale's assistant contacted us yesterday, have you seen how much is on the internet?"
They all shook their heads, the woman sighed, "Well, I have and it is bad. People have started speculating, they are wondering what happened to Miss Daniella and why she stopped the livestream. Also Miss Denise and who she is. Some people think she is a bastard."
