"I am fine! Why is everyone fussing over me." Goke said with exasperation. Busola rolled her eyes at her son's antics. He was just like his father."I know you are fine but I want to make sure you really are for my sanity."
Busola was well known Doctor in Nigeria, she couldn't allow anything to happen to her only child because he decided to be stupid and throw another rubbish party.
"Mummy! You are embarrassing me in front of my girlfriend and my friends." Goke glanced at Denise who still looked dishevelled. She had stopped shaking but the horror in her eyes hadn't gone.
They both witness someone killing Bishop and Armstrong mercilessly, so he could understand how she felt. He was almost killed in the decade but thankfully, Denise came out of the bathroom just in time to scream for help.
Busola turned to the group that was sitting and watching the interactions. Colton didn't know why he was here anyway. What he saw in that room was scary, he couldn't shake it off his mind. He wondered how Denise must be doing, she had witnessed three people's deaths.
"What happened exactly, Goke, you still have not told me."
"Mum," Goke groaned. Even with the painkillers, he was still in pain. He didn't want to answer the question because he didn't want his mother to be worried. He was terrified of what the killer did.
"Did you... did you try to kill yourself?" Busola hesitantly asked with worry.
"What?! Mum! I would never!" He couldn't believe that his mother would ever suggest that. He was happy with his life, he had everything he ever wanted. Why would he want to kill himself?!
"So what happened? They said there was a suicide note! That you wrote a suicide note!"
Goke scoffed in shock, he would never do that. The killer must have brought it to make sure it looked like suicide. Why though?! Why would someone want to kill him?!
"I didn't write any suicide note mum, I swear, I would never do that to you, or Dad."
"Please I am begging you! You are the only child I have! You cannot kill yourself, whatever you want I will give you. Please." tears started dropping from her eyes. He sighed in annoyance. Not only did the killer attempt to kill him, but the killer also put his poor mother in despair.
He knew that it would make him a hypocrite and a villain but he didn't feel bad when he woke up to hear that Armstrong and Bishop were pronounced dead in the early hours of the morning.
High levels of alcohol and drugs were found in their system, they ruled their death as suicide and immediately closed the case. Busola believed that her son could have died if Denise hadn't found him, and for that, she was forever grateful.
Denise had not spoken since the initial incident, it felt like she was going crazy. The scene that played out when she came out of the bathroom was like straight out of a horror movie.
She had entered the bathroom to vomit because Goke told her it would make the drug in her system go away. He force-fed her a drug that made their vomit and she decided to change out of her swimsuit. She took a quick shower, making sure to lock the bathroom because she didn't trust Goke to enter.
When she was finally done and had worn her former clothes, sitting in her totes bag, she felt a lot better. She was now exhausted and just wanted to go to sleep when she screamed.
"Death to the elite!" one large lurch and slash of water, then the next.
She frowned, wondering what it meant, she opened the door slightly and noticed what was happening. An unintentional scream escaped from her lips, her eyes widened and her heart lurched in her throat as a figure in all black, sliced Goke's wrist open, the killer glanced back at her and in a moment of distraction, Goke punched the killer quickly.
