Dear Friend,
In the hustle and bustle of life, when days blend into a monochrome of duties and responsibilities, finding a reason to laugh can sometimes feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. So, if you're opening this letter in search of a smile or a chuckle, you've come to the right place.
First, let's address the seriousness of the situation with the gravity it deserves: Absolutely none. Life is far too important to be taken seriously all the time. Did you know that laughter is scientifically proven to improve your health? That's right, chuckling can lower your blood pressure, reduce stress hormone levels, and even work your abs (so feel free to skip that gym session).
Now, for a laugh or two:
• Why don't scientists trust atoms anymore? Because they make up everything!
• Have you heard about the mathematician who's afraid of negative numbers? He'll stop at nothing to avoid them.
• I told my wife she should embrace her mistakes. She hugged me.And if those didn't at least earn a smirk, remember this: somewhere out there, a person is pushing a door that says PULL. Perhaps you've been that person. I know I have.
Imagine the most dignified person you know accidentally walking into a spider web and doing that frantic dance of freedom. Picture someone trying to subtly check if their breath smells okay by breathing into their palm, not realizing they look like they're whispering secrets to their hand. Life is full of these wonderfully silly moments if we only take the time to notice them.
So, as you go about your day, look for the absurdities, the comic misunderstandings, and the outright ridiculousness that life throws at us. Share a laugh with someone. Better yet, laugh at yourself. It's one of the greatest signs of strength.
Remember, the world is a better place with your laughter in it. It's a universal language that needs no translation, a melody that everyone finds catchy. Let it out, laugh often, and when you do, think of this letter and know that somewhere, I'm laughing along with you.
With laughter and light,
Jordan Spring
