Yua has been looking for Yuki Kuran for quite a while. And now she stands before Kaien Cross' house, where the little human Yuki resides. Yua stopped holding her power back and it all rushed out. It felt like a dam collapsed and had finally let the water through.
It felt like a weight has been lifted off her shoulder for a while. When Kaien felt the powerful aura of a Pureblood, his first instinct was to hide his daughter. He had to protect Yuki! When he made sure she was safe, he grabbed his sword and rushed out of the house.
He was going to unsheathe his blade until he saw the vampiress herself. 'No way.'
Yua tried smiled up at Kaien but it looked more like a grimace. "Ahem, so uh, Hi. I'm Yua and I've been looking for Yuki. May I see her please?"
"Yua? As in Yua Kuran? The female progenitor of the Kuran line?" Kaien was in disbelief. And hysterics. And was potentially having a heart attack. Huh. Maybe he was too old for this.
Yua nodded but then tilted her head in confusion. "I'm sorry but there's been some misunderstanding. Not a single drop of my blood runs through the Kuran Bloodline today Mr. Cross. Whoever Kaname Kuran, the progenitor of the Kuran Line had impregnated and continued his line with, it certainly wasn't me." Yua explained.
Kaien was confused. "There were stories of his love for you? He devoted his everything to you."
"His love was not returned." Ouch. Unrequited love. Kaien understands how much it hurt. He was in the same position as Kaname but with Juri. The beautiful pureblood woman who was already married but had captured his heart with her own heart of gold. Kaien sighed. He pitied Kaname, he truly did, but that doesn't explain how Yua knew about Yuki.
Yua knew what he was thinking. She was thinking it herself. She wanted to stay by Yuki and Zero's side to make sure they live happily together and that Zero doesn't die protecting Yuki. She wants Zero to raise his children with Yuki. And to potentially meet his future grandchildren. They deserved their happy ever after and she was going to give it to them. In order to do that, though, she needed a reason to stay by them.
"Kaname was my best friend. Yuki is his last living descendant other than Kaname Junior. She's a growing girl and needs other females in her life. Can you provide that type of care for her, Kaien?" She was hoping he didn't catch on to her desperation. If he said no, then she'd just whisk Yuki away. Yuki might hate her for it though...
Kaien sighed. "Okay," he caved. "But if Yuki doesn't like you, then you can't stay!" He reverted to his goofy personality. He really hoped Yuki liked her.

Yuki didn't like her.
.
.
.
She loved her! Yua has never felt so much relief in her life! Yuki was such a cute child. They instantly clicked."Can you stay with me forever?" Yuki looked up at her with big puppy eyes that screamed 'LOVE ME!' And Yua couldn't help but say 'Yes'.
Yuki was over the moon when Yua said they'd be together forever. It took every ounce of strength Kaien had in his body to pry Yuki's tiny body off of Yua. The kid might've been small, but boy was she mighty. The moment he let her go, she jumped back into Yua's arms.
"Yuki why don't we play a game? You know what? Let's play Hide and Seek!" Kaien was desperate for Yuki to leave the Vampiress alone. He was worried she'd tick the older female off.
Yuki started jumping up and down while cheering. "Yay! Hide and seek! Hide and seek! Yua! Let's play hide and seek!" She hopped onto Yua's lap and slapped her hands onto her eyes and started counting.
"1..2..3..4...........22..24..25! Ready or not! Here we come!" Yuki shrieked. She grabbed Yua's hand dragged her around the house. Yuki certainly was a .. willful child.
Yuki picked up pillows and cushions and even looked between books. She heard Yua giggle in the background which only encouraged her to look harder. They made their way to the last room in the house. The living room. Lo and behold : Kaien Cross was 'disguised' as a lamp. Quite poorly too.
Yua wheezed which lead Kaien to let out a snort. Yua dropped to the floor quicker than you can say 'cheese' and cackled her heart out. She laughed so hard she started crying. When was the last time she laughed like this?
Yuki went up and kicked Kaien in the shins. "Found you!" She squealed. She ran away to hide. Kaien dropped to his knees in pain and Yua wheezed harder. Yuki was a force to be reckoned with.
Yua's face was pink and she still had tears streaming down her face from all the laughing. "Glad my suffering amuses you." Kaien grumbled out in pain. Yua threw a pillow in retaliation. "Of course it did. Yuki is such a precious child."
The emphasis on 'precious' did not go unnoticed. Both adults shared another laugh. "Time to go look for Yuki now." Yua heard a knock when she got up. "You go look for Yuki, I'll answer the door. I'm sure it's nothing." She assured.
Kaien nodded and went on to find his adopted daughter. Yua got more and more nervous as she approached the door. She had a gut feeling she knew who was behind the door. They spent thousands of years together, she'd recognize his scent by know.
Yua surpressed her aura and turned her glamour on. She was, once again, Ai Hoshino. She opened the door and paled. She was right. Kaname Kuran alongside his friend Takuma Ichijo, were standing at the door.
Yua bowed. She had to keep up appearances. "How May I help you Lord Kuran? Young Master Ichijo?" She avoided eye contact. She had to pass as a level C, meaning both vampires would be above her, which they're not. but they don't know that. Before either could answer, they heard Yuki scream from inside the house. Kaname and Takuma tensed.
"I found her!" Kaien called from behind. "Yua!" Yuki ran away from Kaien and attached herself to her legs. She still hadn't seen her change. Yua's glamour fell and she felt herself stiffen. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Kaname's eyes widen in disbelief.
She looked back at him and gave him a sheepish smile. "Hi Kaname,
How are ya?"
