Charlotte, Buck and Eddie were stocking up the fire truck. Well Eddie was verifying the truck was stocked, Buck was manning the clipboard and Charlotte was supervising. Supervising and eating potato chips. Eddie kept giving her amused looks, but she was already having cravings and Eddie had annoyed her by constantly giving her worrying looks every time she seemed to lift something too big in his eyes. She was pregnant, not dying!
She was finding this was becoming her new saying every time Eddie acted overprotective. Don't get her wrong, she loved that he was protective but if he kept it up, she just might prank the man!
"Trauma bag?" Buck listed.
Eddie moved forward, "Yep," he verified as he grabbed said item.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" Buck asked with a smirk while lifting his hand to his ear.
Eddie rolled his eyes, glancing at his wife who was snickering into her bag of chips. "Check,"
"Yeah," Buck responded, then moved onto the next item, "AED?"
"Check," Eddie stated this time, a smile growing on his face. He was finding it harder and harder to fight a smile being on his face ever since he had found out that Charlotte was pregnant.
Hen and Chim walked up with Hen stating, "Oh no. Who gave that guy a clipboard?"
Charlotte shot her hand up from her position leaning against the wall across from the fire truck. "Me! For the sheer entertainment value of watching Eddie be tortured," Eddie shook his head at her, quickly sticking his hand in her bag of chips and stealing one in retaliation. She looked up at him with horror on her face, her eyes sparkling mischievously.
Hen rolled her eyes at the cute couple while Chim smirked. Buck chuckled and said, "Ah, don't worry. It's a kinder, gentler clipboard, as is the man who holds it. Meet Buck 3.0," Eddie leaned next to Charlotte as Buck said this, sharing a glance with her at his statement.
"What, three?" Hen asked in confusion. "What happened to 2.0?"
"Two's legs were crushed by a ladder truck and his girlfriend left him," Chim teased.
Charlotte threw a chip at Chim, admonishing, "Mean!" Charlotte found that she was acting motherly lately which Eddie found adorable.
"Still not sure what inspired the software update," Eddie stated.
"I'm just ready to let go of the past." Buck informed them.
Charlotte frowned at him, disapprovingly. "Your parents lied to you your entire life, and you're just gonna let that go?"
Hen snorted in agreement and asked, "What's your secret?"
Buck smiled, "Therapy. As in my parents agreed to come to a few sessions with me, work some stuff out." Charlotte snorted derisively, causing Eddie to lightly elbow her in the side. He knew she did not like Buck trying to mend things with his parents, since his parents should be trying to mend things not Buck. "Look, they're trying. I figure I should try too. Right?" Buck continued, looking mostly at Charlotte since he knew what her thoughts on the matter were.
"Very mature, Buck." Hen said admiringly.
"Very Buck 3.0." corrected Buck.
Charlotte and Eddie laughed as Hen said, "Ok, I'm not calling you that. Are you gonna be taking part in these family sessions, too?" Hen then asked Chim.
"Uh, uh. Key word family, which I am not. Technically." Chim informed her.
Eddie draped an arm around Charlotte's shoulders as she pouted down at her empty bag. "You're allowed to give yourself time, you know. To process," Eddie told Buck.
