**Leeseo's POV**
I searched around to find Yuyeon at school. I desperately wanted to go home soon because I was so sleepy after listening to all the lectures. Yuyeon and I always go home together so that we have company on our walk back. I found Yuyeon busy near the quad helping our "third" member of the squad, Eunchae, with her trumpet practice. Eunchae was quite possibly the cutest kid you could ever conceive of. She had squishy, chubby cheeks, perfect for holding the air she needs for her instruments. She is the star band student at our school, which derives from just how many instruments that she's able to play; guitar, piano, saxophone, flute, drums, and, as previously mentioned, trumpet. She has a recital soon so she was getting nervous that her trumpet skills wasn't as caught up as with her other instruments, however, in my opinion, that was just pure delusion; she's probably still the best trumpet player at school.
"Yuyeon! You tryna go home right now?" I shouted across the quad.
Eunchae stopped playing to greet me as I approached. She waved at me with that giant smile she has.
"Hey Leeseo! Going home so soon?" Eunchae asked, pouting.
"Yeah why are you trying to go home already? Let's just hang out and listen to her practice." Yuyeon suggested, patting the stone fountain that she was sitting on to signal me to join.
"I'm hungry though...mom is making her famous chicken today too."
Yuyeon shot up from her seat, "HER CHICKEN?!?!?"
After recomposing herself from that jumpscare, Eunchae wondered, "is your mom's chicken really that good?"
"Good? 'Good' doesn't do it justice. The crisp of that chicken is...it's...I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT! YOU HAVE TO COME WITH US EUNCHAE"
"Yeah for sure, mom wouldn't mind making an extra one. I can text her right now to prepare another." I took my phone out, about to unlock it.
"Oh no sorry guys, I can't, I have to go eat with my family today. It's my dad's birthday today."
"Damn that sucks. You can just come for a bit to grab it to-go."
"No, really, that's kind but you guys should go home and enjoy it right now. My parents should be here soon anyways."
"Are you sure?" Yuyeon asked.
"Yeah, it's A-Ok, I can just try it tomorrow or whenever she makes it next."
"For sure." I fist-bumped her, "We'll see ya then Eunchae!"
We waved her goodbye before rounding the street to walk home. We had a peaceful walk back home together, just like our sisters once did, however, we obviously weren't dating, so we weren't holding hands and skipping around like those fools did (at least I assume they did...?)
We reached my house where Yuyeon bursted in before I did.
"MRS. JANGGGGGGGG, YOUR FAVORITE NON-DAUGHTER IS HERE!!!!!"
Mom turned around, "Yujin is back?"
"Mrs. Jangggggg that's so meannnnnn" Yuyeon whined.
Mom couldn't stop laughing, "oh don't be sad Yuyeon, I don't think that Yujin won't be a 'non daughter' for long..."
"It's only a matter of time isn't it?" I stated after plopping my backpack down on the couch.
Seriously what was keeping those two from marrying for so long? Granted, they are still in college huh...
"I'm ready for your chicken Mrs. Jang!" Yuyeon buzzed.
"Well then, here you go my second favorite non daughter" Mom teased.
