**Gaeul's POV**
I awoke fairly easily. It wasn't hard considering I was sleeping on the rock-hard floor, so I was hardly comfortable last night. I had no choice but to give Leeseo the couch, much to her constant refusal. I stood up to wash my face. I glanced over at her: she looked adorable huddled on the sofa, hugging her backpack. I pulled up the blanket to cover her up more. I closed the blinds to block the sunlight from directly attacking her face. Maybe we could just eat at a restaurant before work quickly; there wasn't really anything here besides junk food and more ramen. As I sat on the chair pondering local restaurants, I heard her thrash awake: her feet kicking the blanket outwards, her torso spinning around angrily in the limited space available.
"Rise n' shine cupcake!" I shouted at the rising corpse.
"What time is it?" she groaned, wiping her eyes.
"It's only 7:32," I responded, "I don't mean to rush you, but we should hurry up so we can get something to eat before we go to work."
"Fine." She got up and went about her business to get ready for the day. In the meanwhile, I cleaned up our mess from yesterday: all those chips, plates, bowls, trail mix, trash. I can't believe I slept in these conditions. It was absolutely filthy!
By the time she washed up and was ready to go out, it was already time for us to go to work. "You think you can manage until lunchtime?" I asked her, regretful that I wasn't able to take care of her.
"Yeah maybe...if I can eat snacks at my desk." She suggested, acutely aware of my rules against it. She had this childish smirk of hope while her eyes focused on my response.
"Just this once," I sternly approved.
Her face lit up when she heard that. She glanced at me during her moment of glee, "Why are you smiling so big? You're scaring me."
"N-nothing. You just looked cute there." I quickly strapped my bag onto my shoulder and left the room.
"O-oh t-t-thanks." I heard her mutter softly.

As we reached the entrance of the building, I turned to her, "Now Leeseo remember: no one is to know of that hideout besides us two. Not Chaehyun. Not Yujin...Not BOTH Yujins."
She nodded her head, rolling her eyes like an annoyed child being told what to do, "Got it."
When we arrived, most of the workers were already there, chatting with each other well before our shifts officially started.
"Well well well. Look who it is: Kim Gaeul," Chaehyun said approaching me, giddy.
"Yeah?"
"YOU'RE LATE! FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!" Chaehyun burst, followed by everyone else clapping.
"Late?" I checked my watch, "Are you stupid? There's still like 3 minutes left."
"Don't kid yourself. For you, work essentially started like an hour ago. You have NEVER been this late to work!"
"I mean I guess..." I scratched the back of my head.
"Say...Gaeul...you didn't come home last night...where did you go?" she interrogated.
"Calm down dude. I just stayed at my parents' house; they asked me to help them with their computer." I always saved this excuse since the very first time I spent the night at the music store. I just never needed to use it until now.
"Hmm. Fair enough I suppose." Chaehyun seemed to buy the excuse.
"If you don't mind. I need to get to my desk." I scooted past her, silently celebrating that she didn't catch onto my blatant lies.
