I shut the library and cleared my throat, attempting to get his attention. "So, will you be returning to the apartment?" I asked "Yeah, I guess I will head back to the apartment since I have nothing to do now," he said while I nodded and he motioned for me to start walking. "You must not have seen me before," He puts his hands on his pocket and I find it hot.

"Yes," I say as I walk right next to him, clasping my hands behind my back.
"Hmm...I simply wanted to take a vacation from my work, or perhaps I should say, family matters? Since Sean is my best buddy from my old high school, I found it better to refresh my mind with him" he explains. I wanted to question him about the "family thing," but I was afraid that it would come across as overly nosy and give me a bad impression.

"Well, that makes sense. What kind of work do you do? I asked, glancing at him, but he was looking back at me already, so I quickly turned my head away.
"Then, are you familiar with the Massive Dynamic Company?" he looks at me. "Kind of... Is it located in Harborview Point?" I Inquired. "Yes," he replies with a nod, and as I feel his biceps flex, I realize how much more manly he is than the boys I have met. It feels so weird yet exciting.

"I'm actually the owner of that company, a CEO might add as well" he doesn't exaggerate.
"Oh wow" was my initial reaction.
I found him to be more impressive.
"So you are the CEO and owner of a million-dollar company, and instead of taking a private jet to a luxurious resort to enjoy a cocktail, you are actually here? A plain and unwelcome location?" I tilt my head with an unbelievable smile.

"Well, I am thirty years old, and I have wasted fifty percent of my life in bars, spending money on unnecessary items. But not anymore, I think because now, I want to take a break, keep track of my health, and live the rest of my life with peace" he explains. And I'm just more invested in him.

"I mean- that's....understandable" He joined me as I laughed and nodded.

We soon arrived at the apartment, and before he could enter, he muttered "shit." I took a quick look at him. "Is everything okay?". "I should have reminded Sean to turn in the keys before he leaves for work. He sighs, "And he probably forgot too."
"Oh- I wouldn't mind, if you would like to stay in my room until Professor Sean shows up?" I walked to him. He says with a smile, "Oh no, it is really okay, I could just spend my day outside." I invited him with a warm smile, "I disagree on that—the weather looks bad, and I would be so happy if you just joined me with a cup of coffee." He nods his head after a while "Alright then...". I grinned instantly and opened my door.

We both took a seat on the couch for a while and he asked "So what about you? What do you do?". "I am a student at Stellar University studying geography," I said, placing my palm in my head and smiling at him.
"That's cool" he nods with a proud expression.
"but what about the Library-?" he doesn't want to be nosy but it's literally fine for me. It's okay to be curious.
"About that, I wanted to use my own money for my basic needs because I do not want to use up the savings amounts from my deceased parents." His expression changed to one of concern quickly, saying, "Oh, I am so sorry about that." I nodded with a smile "Oh you don't  have to be, it's fine"

As promised, I got up from the couch and went to the kitchen to make us each a cup of coffee. I can feel him scanning the apartment; he must be feeling sorry for me.
I kept the cup on the table and said, "Here, Mr. Marcus." He corrects me, "Marcus should be fine," and I simply nod. "And how should I call you?" He looks at me with those eyes while folding his arms. "Yuri you can call me Yuri" I smiled. He notes accurately, "Wow that sounds more like "Japanese." "Well, my dad's best friend was from Japan, and since they had been friends since they were young, he kept recommending the name, which my dad and my mom both enthusiastically approved of." I bit the inside of my lower lip, grinning. "That sounds so cool" He nods with a smile.

After an hour of talking, he finally got a call from Professor Sean and tells him that he is back from his work. Marcus simply tells him that he will be back a few minutes later, which makes my heart flutter because that could mean that he's enjoying my company so far.

"would you mind if I ask you about your age?" He leaned back on the couch comfortably and asked.
"17," I said, glancing at him.
His lips were parted as if he was going to speak, but he held them back as he quickly stood up straight. All he could say was "oh-," and his expression told me that he was both shocked and disappointed. What was he thinking. What was he thinking?

It took me some time to realize this was not right. Sitting next to a 17-year-old, sipping coffee, was a 30-year-old man. Worst enough.
"Well, I am going to be eighteen the next month," I blurted out, grinning nervously, and interpreted as if I was confronting him not to feel like a weirdo and a creep.

However, it was of no use to him. Now he was getting restless and agitated. With a nervous sigh, I sip my coffee quietly, and he follows suit. "So-" before I could break the silence, he quickly stood up and said "I should probably go back to the room- I still have some drafts to complete" he smiles. "oh yeah sure. Why not" he nodded and started to walk out of the door and I felt my heart clenching roughly.
