Marcus's POV

I found her. We met again. And I won't let her slip away this time.

As I drove to my penthouse, I stole glances at her. She's stunning. In her half-sleep, she murmurs softly, bringing a smile to my face. Did I win? Or did I lose? I want to know how this goes.

My phone buzzed, and I parked my car aside, "Yes?" I speak. "The company declined our invitation, saying that they cannot trust their rivals- at least not in this moment". the voice on the other end informs me. After hanging up, I tap the glass to rouse her from her slumber. "Sh-ssh- it's okay, go back to sleep" I soothe her, gently patting her head and brushing her hair aside. She drifts back into sleep. It's already 9, and the night is upon us. I'm keen to get her to the penthouse so she can rest comfortably.

I let Josh park the car while I carried Yuri to the room, and got all the stuff she needed.
Meanwhile I called the housemaids to change her clothes to the comfortable one.

While I was on my laptop checking out some of the projects, I heard a scream from the inside of the room, I quickly rushed into the room, just to find Yuri confused and scared with whatever the maids were doing.
"What's going on here?" My voice became stern as I walked over to her and patted her head.
"Nothing serious, Mr. Marcus, little miss got scared to see us when she woke up from her sleep" The maid explained. "Is there anything to be done?" I asked, "Nothing is there to be done". The maids leave the room and my attention is back to her.

"Why am I here?" She mumbled, "because you were drunk" I gently spoke while I poured some water in the glass with the medicine.
"How did we meet?" She asked while she frowns at the pill.
"I met you in the VIP room of the club" I replied. "It's okay- I'm not drugging you" I chuckled softly.

"no.." she joins with me. "I don't like pills...I find it hard to swallow". She gently pushes my hand away. She bit down her lip and sticks her tongue out, my eyes glued to her lips, my mind is diverted from the thought of her words. "hard to swallow?" I repeat her words and there's an instant redness in her cheeks. I cleared my throat-

"I mean, that's understandable, I used to struggle with the pills too. But yeah- you have....to have the pills anyways, because I know you're probably not over with the hangover, so-" I handed back her the pills.
"No" she shooked her head and starts making faces. Cute.

"Come on, you have to..." I gently grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled closer to me, "take your meds like a good girl you are" I grabbed the water, and without being stubborn, she takes the medicine and shuts her eyes while she tries to swallow down the pill. "Yes... that's it. You're such a good girl" I smiled and shuffled her hair while I kept back the water.

"what's the time?" She stretches her arms and there's a glimpse of a smile on my face when I realize, she's happy to be here with me.
It's been almost a month now, the last time I saw her was in the apartment. That was it, and since then, I wished to see her again. Of course, she's still young- "Wait- why were you there in the club today? And with whom you were with?" I tilt my head and that's when there's a disturbance on her pretty face.

"It's my 18th birthday today and-"
"Where's Joe?" She mumbled and looked around, probably searching for her phone.
"Today is your birthday?" I asked, clearing my doubt.
"Yeah- and I was invited by Joe and his friends but I found out he's been using me for his bet and today he was going to...?" She gasped.
"To what?" I frowned.
"To...sleep with me...for his bet" she starts biting her nail
"Where's my phone Marcus- I want to talk to him" she looks around.

"Talk to whom? The boy who wanted to have sex with you tonight for a fuc- stupid bet?" I scoffed.
"Shut up! You know nothing about....us" she frowns at me, almost trying to eat me.
"Yuri, I thought you were a smart girl" I fold my arms. "How did you almost let it happen?".

"Well at least I didn't let it happen!", there's a loudness in her voice.
"Your phone is inside the drawer. If you're leaving, tell the driver to drive you, or call me if there's an issue" I clenched my jaw and got up, and grabbed my watch.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
"I'll be in the office, I have some work to complete". I was agitated.
