Chapter 17: A Sin

Where have I gone wrong? How did I, a grown adult, manage to make such a mistake again? Why couldn't I react carefully?
Yuri was the girl who loved me unconditionally; even though she was young, she was mature enough to stay out of my private affairs.

The morning I left without telling her, her beautiful sleepy state still lingers on my mind.

As her caregiver, I vowed to never abandon her again, and I kept my word. Again.
I now gave her the impression that this dirty man had gotten rid of her.

I thought Ella would change and become the better woman I once loved, so I gave her a chance.

Since she was still the woman I fell in love with and would stop at nothing to win her back, I only learned that she wanted me back because she was afraid that I would give Yuri half of my property, even though during our divorce negotiations I gave her 50% of my property, cars, and house.

Who knew she would be driven by greed and disloyalty?

I kicked Ella out of my house after she brought another man into my bed last month. I am done with her; her audacity grew after the divorce, and she trapped me with her manipulation and tactics.

Yuri had come here to get her belongings while I was not present; I regretted not speaking to her for the last time and asked for forgiveness, but would she? Will she?
The guilt consumes me every day, and I miss her more than anyone knows. My sweetie. I hope you forgive me. I am coming for you, and you will not lose me again.

I told my men to find her, only to discover she had been skipping college and working as a barista, making my heart ache at the sight of her.

She not only refused the gifts I had brought for her, but also the money she was saving. Not even a cent. That is how I noticed the difference between her and Ella. She used to be spoiled and a brat when we were together, but after we split up, she did not take a dime from me. I lost the precious one.

I'm not able to forgive myself for what I did. After telling my man to photograph her, Yuri looked completely different; she did not appear to be eating properly, and her eyes appeared tired and sleepy, as if she had not gotten enough sleep. If I had witnessed this in a Ddlg relationship, I would have given up as a caregiver a long time ago.

I do not want to waste time, so once I have finished my business proposal, I will not spend any more time pleading with her for forgiveness and a second chance.
