RESTORED DYING LOVE!

Chapter 4. FRIENDS WITH MY MOM.

"Stay here , am just gonna drop this and come back."  She doesn't answer me , I dont wait for her answer either , so I leave .

I open the door hoping to find my mom fine, surprisingly I find her sitting in the living room on the sofa. Actually our house isn't that big ; a small living room that it won't accommodate even eight people, two rooms , mom's and mine and a very small kitchen .

My mom went through alot before she was be able to buy a small land and have this small house made, she says when she had it made , she only had me and her in mind that's why it's so small , she doesn't trust humans anymore.

" There you are." She says the moment I open the door .
"Am sorry mom , here ... have something to eat."
" Why are you being sorry?" She asks.
" I didn't come on time to bring you something to eat , did you take your medicine?" I ask unwrapping the fried chicken I got her .

" What? Where did you get the money to buy this?"
"Haa don't ask ,, I'll tell you later when I come back!" I say feeling proud of myself because I've got her something different this time .

" wait , it's 5pm are you still going back to work ? Hunnie you can go again tomorrow morning, let's eat together."

" Give me 30minutes I'll be back , I  need to drop some stuff somewhe...."
The door opens stopping my words .

" Hey ! Who are you calling stuff , Am not some stuff , don't call me that !" Harper says when she enters the house without even knocking, Jeeez! She's unbelievable!

" What are you doing here? I just told you to stay in the car! And this!! This isn't your f*ckin' house! Even the toilets people knock, you have to knock before you enter!"

" Theo! Language please" mom says , she turns towards Harper , smiling at her ,, why is she smiling at her , this girl is so annoying.

" Oh my goodness!! Is that fried chicken?! I love that!" She says running where mom is sitting, near the table but I stop her .

" No ! We're going, let's go!"

She struggles out of my arms .
" Theo leave her alone." Mom yells , She turns to Harper. "If you love it then you can have it with me .." she says smiling at her .

Harper looks at me smiling victoriosly.

" If she's gonna sit in here she'll have to go out to knock before she comes in!"
" Theo stop it " Mom says wondering what's  wrong with us.

" Mom , you don't even know her! Why are you taking her side ? "
Mom ignores me calling Harper , I  leave her and she goes sitting next to mom .

" Come sit , we'll eat together." Mom calls me but I refuse to go, I sit on the plastic chair that is near the door .

"So what's your name dear?" My mom asks Harper, smiling broadly at her .
" Am Harper, Harper Perry Hoechline." she says happily biting into the fat part of the  fried chicken, and then takes the chips .

My mom flinches after hearing her name , and I guess it's because Harper's last name which  resembles my dad's that I don't remember.  Thank God I don't remember him because I'll never wanna have his memory with me

She relaxes again maybe because she has convinced herself that it's just a name , and people share names .

Thank God I don't use that man's name , now I would be sharing the same name with Harper .

Jeeez ! Now am getting worried that Harper is gonna finish the whole chicken while am watching like this , I never knew beautiful girls like her could eat so much .

My mom keeps laughing at the silly things Harper says , she doesn't even shut her mouth while eating though the food inside doesn't show , she talks non stop and mom keeps laughing non stop .
