I shivered against the door.

Ann I cold?

Or am I scared?

I can't keep going like this.

"Love, I'm going to call off work to be with you, okay?"

"No! I'm fine, go to work!"

"Can you come out?"

I sighed but got off my ass to open the door.

I peeked out and Simon was on his knees.

"Baby, what's wrong?"

How would my husband feel if he knew I kept thinking of another man?

No, I can't.

"I don't know. Nothing is wrong. I'm just over dramatic."

"No, don't say that. Your feelings are valid, remember? You taught me that. Whatever you're feeling, you can tell me."

I nodded.

"I know. I'm just tired."

"Then why don't we go back to bed?"

"No. I'm going to make the kids breakfast." I opened the door all the way and walked out.

"Maybe I should call off and spend the day with you." He sighed and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"No, you have a job to do. Can I borrow your phone. I wanna look up a recipe."

He handed me his phone and I looked up what I needed to.

A text from Price popped up and I read it.

"Oh, looks like we have a new mission already..."

I wasn't too excited.

Being kidnapped for missions and going undercover was tiring.

Especially when I have kids I miss and need to take care of.

"It's probably just me, not you this time. You need your rest." He kissed my cheek.

"If I'm needed, I'm needed." I said and handed his phone back.

"I'll let you know when I get home later, okay?"

I nodded and got to cooking.

"Can I help?" He asked gently.

"You can pick some fruit and berries from outside, wash and cut them for the kids if you want."

He nodded, grabbed a basket and went out.

The sun was already peeking through the clouds, but the outside lights were on to help him see better.

He came back and finished washing and cutting the treats.

"Mami?"

I looked at Cosmos as he walked over with his blanket.

"Yes?" I asked as I turned off the stove.

He raised his arms and I picked him up.

"I love you, mami..."

"I love you too, my love."

He rested his head in the crook of my neck and fell asleep again.

I sighed and sat on the sofa with a yawn.

I listened to Simon serve the food onto plates.

"Daddy? Where's mami?" Kiara asked.

"She's on the couch."

"Mami?"

"Yes, Kiara?"

"Do I have to go to school today?"

"Why, do you feel sick?"

She nodded and I put the back of my hand on her forehead.

"You don't feel warm."

"I wanna stay with you." She said crawling into my lap.

Shoot, I must have scared her.

Starla came over and laid her head against me.

"Ask your dad."

"Daddy, can we stay home?"

Simon came over.

"No. Your friends are gonna miss you if you don't go."

Kiara started crying. Seeing this, Starla looked at her and started to cry too.

This woke Cosmos who soon followed suit.

I sighed and leaned my head back exhausted.
