Lute's pov:

I was done talking with Lilith about the deal. Now all I have to do is break the news to...Y/N...I don't know how to break this to her.

I open the door to Y/N's home and go to her room where she is drawing. Once she notices me her eyes widen in shock.

"Lute! What happened to your arm?! Lute what happened at the extermination today?!" Y/N is quick to check up on me despite me not answering.

"Y-Y/N, I have to tell you something important" I say while sitting down on the very soft comfortable bed while looking around the room looking at all the posters.

"Y-Y/N Adam...your father is dead" I said slowly while looking anywhere but her eyes.

Y/N's pov:

I sit there silently processing the information with wide eyes. 'He can't be dead!,' I quickly thought while a single tear rolls down my cheek carefully as more follow after that tear.

I then start to sob while breathing unevenly. I soon end up curling into a ball trying to comfort myself. When I was crying I didn't notice two warm wings wrapping around me delicately.

I look up to see Lute looking at me with a sad smile while hugging me with her one arm.

"Don't worry Y/N everything will be okay I promise," Lute says in a attempt to comfort my trembling body.

I quickly hug back, my wings tucked in while hugging Lute back.

"T-Thank you so much," I say through sob while hugging Lute close to me.

"So you are the new leader of the exorcist now?" I question while looking up at her.

"Yeah but I need a lieutenant. I can't do it single handed can I?" Lute says in a attempt to joke but fails horribly.

I start to lightly laugh at her way of comforting me "You are so bad at jokes. Who are you thinking should be your lieutenant?"

Lute looks at me pretending to be thinking while quickly saying "you" after Lute said that I was in pure shock.

"Why me!" I exclaim shocked at what my girlfriend said "You have proven to be useful and being lieutenant doesn't mean you have to kill you can just strategize like always." Lute says as if this was obvious.

Lute's pov:

After I comforted Y/N I quickly grabbed a blanket to tuck her in. She took my offer to be my lieutenant which I was happy about but right now I have to make sure she is okay after the news I delivered to her.

I take a large soft galaxy like blanket and lay it over her beautiful sleeping figure. I quickly cuddle with Y/N caressing her delicate face with my hand.

I soon also become tired as I start to drift off also. We end up falling asleep in each others arms warm and comfortable.
