Taylor's POV

My eyes open as soon as I start to hear Kenzie's crying. Normally, she will wake up at 7 or even 7:30, but for some reason, she is not sleeping well and is waking up super early with hard and loud crying. I got up from my bed and tried not to wake up Travis. It's not because I'm awake that he needs to be awake this early in the morning, too. I check my phone, and the bright light hits my face in the dark room (5:48). I sigh. "Really, Kenize, really!?" I say it under my breath.

I get out of the room and start making my way to the nursery. It's not that far from the master's bedroom; it's just across the hall. She's still very young to be so apart from me and Travis. I open the door and enter the light yellow and green room, which is on this park/nature theme that I was obsessed with during the pregnancy. The room is filled with little paintings of flowers and is super cute. I get in front of her crib and see my little baby crying in her cute baby pajamas. "Hi baby girl, good morning. Mommy is here now, ok? You can stop crying, it's too early for you to be awake," I say while lifting her from the crib and putting her little body against mine, and then I start pacing from one side to the other to calm her. "Good morning, my little angel. Did you get a lot of sleep?" I ask her in my silly baby voice, and she starts to stop crying. "Because mommy didn't get a lot, you know?" I continue talking, but I'm pretty sure that she's not going to respond to me or anything.

After I spend a good time with her, making sure she was calm and no longer crying or whining, I place her on the changing table in the room. "Let's get this yuck dipper out of you, and then you can have some milk. Hmm, does that sound fun to you, little one?" I say, and she starts to giggle, which I think is just adorable. I start by taking her pijamas off, and then I undo the straps of her diaper, expecting a big poop because when I changed her last night and even before that, there was no poop, just pee. When I opened the diaper, I was met by a big yellow stain but no poop. "Where's the poop, Kenzie? Mommy is staring to get worried about you, baby girl; you need to do your poo poo," I say with a sigh. I whipped her up and put some cream because a baby with a diaper rash is no fun. When I was taiping the new diaper, I noticed that her stomach was hard, and she stared, whining. "Your tummy is hurting, little girl?" I asked her while I was doing a little massage on her belly. "Maybe you're constipated, Kenzie, you know? The poop is struck here on your tummy." I finished getting her ready with a comfy one-size and some socks. "You know what? Today we are all going to the doctor's, so I might as well tell her about your little problem," I tell her while making my way to the big, comfy chair in the corner of the room.

I sit on the chair and make Kenzie comfortable in my lap while I grab a bottle of formula that was sitting on the table on the side. "I'm sorry, this is not mommy's milk, baby, but I can't breastfeed you right now." The doctor asked me not to breastfeed Kenzie on the day of the appointment so she could check my boobs or something like that. I feel really bad for giving Kenzie formula instead of breastmilk because she loves the boob.

When I finished giving her the milk, we made our way to the master's bedroom to get Travis and the other kids ready to leave. Our appointment it's just at 10 a.m., but we have three relative young kids, so we need all the time we can to get everyone ready and in one piece. I enter the room with Kenzie in my arms, and I'm met with Travis, who has already changed and is making the bed. "Well, hello babe, good morning," I say, going for a kiss. "Good morning, my love; I see that the little one has gotten you out of bed early today" he says, and then he kisses me with his soft lips, and I can taste our toothpaste in his breath. "Yes, she did; I think she might be constipated; I haven't changed a poop diaper since yesterday" I say, and help him do the bed while still carrying Kenzie in one arm. "Oh! That's not good; at least we have that appointment today. Probably the doctor can help us." Travis says, and we finish making the bed "I'm hoping so. You take the baby and make breakfast while I wake up the others, ok?" I ask, and he nods.
