Finally the day has arrived. All their practice is gonna pay off. The environment isn't usual one, students wandering in the hallways. Some with their best outfits while some wearing costumes based on their event.

The skating competition is going to happen near the volleyball court unlike the other events that's gonna take place in the stage.

Some of the students are gathered and assembled leaving a big gape in the middle for the competitors to perform.

Few students who are about to take part are standing at the inner edge of the circle with their skates and protective guards on.

Their will be three rounds and a total of 8 pairs are taking part. In the first round they have to stay close to their partners  while swaying slightly for about 6 minutes. Based on their stability and efficiency 4 pairs will be selected and sent to the next round. Round two is where they actually dance and 2 pairs will be selected by the end. The last round will be 1 vs 1.

"Hey!! You okay?" Yoongi squeezes jimin's hand turned towards him with concerned eyes.
Jimin looks at him how yoongi's cheeks are squished by the helmet he is wearing and how cute he is looking. They both have been standing there with their hands held and racing hearts.

Jimin smiles in return "yeah" he nods his head. He is pretty excited. They did their best in the practice.  Taehyung and jungkook standing their as well excited and giddy.

Jimin isn't really worried about winning honestly. He is excited cause it's the first competition he's taking part with someone he barely knows or met just weeks ago.

Yoongi smiles back. Gosh why does he looks so adorable. Jimin is literally fighting an inner battle to stop himself from pinching yoongi's cheeks.

Jimin hopes he looks good too. Cause Yoongi is gonna look at him throughout the event and .... He can't risk to not look good. Only For competition nothing else. He convinces himself.

The first round starts, they all move to the centre and took positions. All of them are standing facing their partners and hands held lightly.

While jimin has been squeezing yoongi's hand tightly. Even if it's hurting a bit yoongi isn't really saying anything.

"Nervous?" Jimin asks looking at him trying to read his eyes.

"Nah." True to his words yoongi seems relaxed and he's smiling.

As soon timer begins they start swaying slightly. Unlike before yoongi looks so much focused. But jimin is nervous clearly. Yoongi put so much efforts into it and he doesn't want to disappoint him.

He's been biting his lips aggressively trying to focus on his movements. Yoongi rubs his thumbs on his knuckles to comfort.

"Hey relax. We will do just fine. Don't stress." Yoongi says with a soft voice.

Jimin is so much grateful to have him really. He smiles back "yeah." Tries to release some tension from his body.

And just like that the first round is over. Yoongi was pretty shocked when they were announced that they are moving to the second round. Jungkook  and taehyung as well. Jimin was constantly thinking about not Messing up that he didn't even took a glance on how tae is doing.

Yoongi has the softest smile while dancing. His heart is fluttering in his chest. Jimin's hands on his waist and his own on jimin's shoulder. It feels really good. He isn't nervous he's enjoying every moment of it. He just wants to make jimin happy he's focused only on that.

And by God Jimin looks so good so cute so pretty. He can barely take his eyes away from him. Thank God they are supposed to look at each other for longer than usual. Thanks to the competition.

And slowly both of them move slightly back extending one of their arms holding. When jimin pulls yoongi he swiftly twirls around getting back to jimin with his back lightly pressed.

They swirl hands alternatively above their heads so that they get back to their positions, facing each other again.

Now again they pull back with both of their hands clasped. Jimin is supposed to twirl now. But his skate slips making him panic and fall on his butt.

He squeaks with wide eyes falling backwards. Before he knows he's pulling yoongi along with him . Yoongi goes with it, he falls on top of him with their hands still held tightly. Yoongi's face is completely mortified.

Jimin panics "hyung? You okay?" He asks scared. He should have been more careful. How can he do that. Yoongi practiced so much for him. And what he did..  god yoongi must be so mad and upset.

Before they get to speak some students come by to help them stand up. Jimin is still worried he feels like crying. Yoongi hasn't spoken a word neither he had any expression. It's just blank.

They move and stand back joining the rest of the audiences. The competition is still going with 3 pairs. Tae and jungkook are unsurprisingly doing great. Jimin is happy for them. He turns slightly to look at yoongi who's standing beside him.

"Hyung?" He whispers trying to grab yoongi's hand. Yoongi pulls back making his heart shatter.

(A student jogs towards yoongi holding two water bottles for jimin and him. He takes both the bottles with his both of his hands it thanking that guy.)

He is mad at me. He should be. I deserve this. Yoongi worked so hard and it all went in vain because of me. Jimin thinks with tears in his eyes threatening to spill.

He turns to jimin offering him some water only then he notices how dejected. It breaks yoongi. He feels terrible. If only he refused to take part with jimin, jimin would have won for sure. He would have found someone better than him.

He turns back looking down quietly. He shouldn't have agreed to do it. Yoongi regrets it totally. Because of him jimin is upset now. He can never be good for him. He knew from the beginning but he was blinded with the desire to be with jimin.

Both of them watch the rest of the event without speaking a word or looking at each other. Cursing themselves for messing up.
