Curled up on the sofa between your boyfriends, you melted into the warmth of their embraces as they kept you close to them.

It's nearing ten pm and you can't help but wonder where the day has gone as you spent the entire day by your boyfriends sides.

It's a rare occasion and you're thankful for any time you get with them.

You rested your head on Felix's shoulder while Chan played with your hair and the movie played over the TV.

You felt so cozy that you were about to drift off to sleep.

But the sound of your phone ringing from the table startled you and your eyes flew open.

"It's getting late. Who could be calling you?" Chan asked curiously.

"No idea." You said as you leaned forward and grabbed your phone. "I don't recognize the number."

Usually, when you don't recognize whoever is calling, you don't answer.

Your relationship with your boyfriends is pretty public and, sometimes, people manage to find your number and harass you.

But this just felt different.

Something was telling you to answer the phone and, since you always listen to your gut, you answered.

"Hello?" You said as you put it on speaker.

"Hello, is this Y/N?"

"Yes. Who is this?" You asked.

"I'm a nurse. I work at the hospital that your parents were brought into."

Your heart dropped instantly.

"They were in an accident tonight."

"Oh, my god. Are they okay? What kind of accident? What happened?" You asked and began to panic.

Felix turned the TV off as he and Chan listened to what was being said.

"I can leave right now to come and see them! I promise, I'll be on my way in just a moment."

"I'm sorry."

You began to feel as if you might pass out.

The room was spinning, the panic was overwhelming, and your heart was about to burst from your chest over the fear and the bad feeling rushing over you.

Part of you didn't even need to hear the next few words to leave the nurse's lips to know that the reason they were calling wasn't so you could come see your parents... it was bad, you knew it.

But you also needed to hear it for yourself, to know that it wasn't just in your mind.

"We did everything we could but they suffered very serious injuries. Your father passed before he even arrived and your mom, as hard as we tried, couldn't be saved. I'm very sorry."

It hit you like a ton of bricks.

Just earlier, you had spoken to them.

They called you to check on you and make sure you were doing well, just as they do every day because you're very close to them.

They were smiling and laughing and talking about going on a trip together to celebrate their upcoming wedding anniversary.

Now... they were gone.

The phone fell out of your hand and Chan quickly picked it up.

"Thank you for calling to inform us." He said as Felix wrapped his arms around you.

"Of course. I'm sorry again."

Chan ended the call before he joined you and Felix for a big hug as the tears began to fall down your cheeks.

"Shh, it's okay," Felix whispered in your ear. "We're here for you. It's going to be okay."

It felt as though nothing was ever going to be okay again.

But you knew he was only trying to comfort you as it felt like your entire world was falling apart.

"We're so sorry, baby," Chan said as he rubbed your back.

"I can't believe this." You sobbed. "This can't be happening!"

"Shh." Chan shushed softly. "Let it out, baby. Let it all out."

You sobbed and clung to them tightly, feeling as though everything was crashing down and fading around you and all you had left was them.

Your heart ached and the tears wouldn't stop falling as it sank in that the last time you'd spoken to your parents earlier was truly the last time.

"Maybe there was a mixup! Maybe they called the wrong person." You suggested as you stared at your boyfriends with red eyes.

They were crying with you.

Looking at each other, they shook their heads.

"Baby, I don't think it was. They're always very careful and very certain about that before they make that call." Felix quietly said. "We're sorry."

"I can't believe it." You sniffled. "I just talked to them earlier, they were okay!"

"We know, baby, we know," Chan said as he kissed your head, one of his tears falling against it as he did so.

"Now I won't ever see them again. I won't ever hug them or hear their voices." You cried, feeling everything being taken away from you. "This  is so unfair!"

"Shhh," Felix whispered.

"I want them back." You sobbed and they held you tighter.

"We know, baby. We'd bring them back in a heartbeat for you if we could." Felix said.

"What am I going to do without them?"

They didn't know.

They didn't have the answers as their minds raced and their hearts shattered.

Seeing you this way was hard for them and, having been close to your parents from day one of being with you, they felt the sudden and devastating loss deep in their hearts, too.

"We'll be with you every step of the way," Chan whispered. "No matter what, we'll be here for you."

"We won't go anywhere. We promise you." Felix spoke. "We're right by your side, Y/N. We love you so much."

You just sobbed and clung to them as your entire world fell apart around you, needing them to stay right by your side now more than ever.
