Thirty Nine

I slowly make my way to the school. I walk past a group of kids. They slowly turn their attention towards me. I frown in confusion. I wonder why they're staring. I decide to ignore it. I push open the door and walk in. It seems like the entire population turns to look at me.

"What's this all about?" I mumble to myself

I'm then yanked by the arm. I look and see its Liz.

"Hey what's up with everyone today?" I ask her

She just stares at me.

"Um.... is everything okay?" I panicked "Liz say something!!"

She doesn't say anything, all she does is drag me to the girls Bathroom. She goes over to the mirrors and fixes her hair.

"God damn it Liz! what the hell is going on!?!" I exclaim

" Okay so... , "she starts ", alexcheatedonmichaelwithashtonandnowshespreagnat."

"What?" I ask confused

" Alex cheated on Michael with Ashton and now she's pregnant!" She said calmly

"Okay? Then why were they staring at me?" I ask confused " Who's the baby"s daddy?"

" I don't know to be honest." Liz said " I don't know that either. I don't think she knows for herself."

I sigh. This is just fucking great I don't feel like dealing with this shit today. I walk out of the bathroom and to my locker. I grab my bag for my class. I turn around and instantly run into someone. I groan in frustration. I can never seem to catch a break.

" We really have to stop running into each other like this." The same Irish accent says

" Yah we do." I laugh " So.... "

" Sorry by the way." Niall smiles awkwardly " Urm...what's your first class?"

" Math." I respond " aka hell "

"Oh cool me too, maybe we can walk there together?" He asks blushing

"Yah sure." I turn around and start to class

"So your Luke's girlfriend?"

" Yes indeed ." I say quietly wondering why he wants to know.

He nods his head slowly "Oh I heard him and his friends are making a band."

" Yeah, 5 seconds of summer!" I smile

" That's a cool name. Who came up with it?" He asks

I smile proudly, " I did actually "

"Wow that's cool!" He smiles "well here we are."

We walk in and I take my regular seat in the back of the class and he takes his in the front. About five minutes later Luke comes in and takes a seat in front of me.

He turns around and smirks " Hey princess."

"Hey what's up?"

" Oh nothin' much. Did you hear about Alex?" He asks his smile fading

" Yeah, she pregnant... and it might or might not be Michael's?" I frown

Why would she do that to a guy like Michael? Michael is like a kitten, cute, and cuddly. You don't hurt someone like that. I wonder what's going to happen now. Will it ruin our friendship? All these thoughts swirl in my head. I take a big breathe and put that all to the side. I guess that's just life for you. Ups and downs. Twist and turns.

Luke pinches me on the arm to get my attention, " what's wrong?"

"Nothing just thinking. " I sigh and shake my head

After class is over me and Luke walk out. I see Niall walking in front of us.

" Oh Luke you know that Niall kid? " I ask pointing to niall

Luke looks at him " Mhm what about him?"

" Well I was talking to him earlier and he seems nice. He was asking about the band." I say excitedly

"Oh yeah? Well maybe we should go talk to him?" I grab his arm and drag him to Niall

"Hey Niall! " I smile up at the blond boy.

" HelloMelody and Luke." He waves shyly

Luke walks up to him and they start talking. I leave them alone and go to my next class.

"Mel wait up!" Anna runs to me " Did you hear about Alex?"

"Yep I can't believe her." I shake my head

" Me either. She's was fucking Michael and Ashton. What a whore." she said

"Anna she is still are friend." I point out " We need to be there for her. She's going to be goinv throught some ruff shit."

"Not me. I don't feel like being labeled a slut or whatever. "She frowns

" Well I don't either, but we've all been friends for ever. Its hard to just walk away."

" True honestly I don't know what I would to with out you guys." She smiles and hugs me

" Same" I say and we walk to are next class
