(After defeating the aliens on board the mothership, and destroying the attack ship, Nico gains ultimate control of the mothership. He uses the lab to find out what his newfound powers are truly capable of)
(Sally and Elliot stay on the ship to help Nico, and to play around with whatever's on board)
(Somah, Paulson, and Toshiro were dropped off by Nico to wander the wasteland. But only after Nico taught them some survival tricks needed in the new world)
(Nico discovered that the aliens had indeed planted technology into him, and it was fueled by the biogel. Instead of trying to remove it, he embraced it's power)
(When Nico is on his way back to the citadel, he runs into Sarah Lyons)
Sarah: There you are! Where the hell have you been?!
Nico: You wouldn't believe me if I told you
Sarah: Try me
Nico: I was abducted by aliens
(Sarah bursts out laughing)
Nico: Go ahead. Laugh it up
Sarah: Ok, good joke. Where were you actually?
Nico: (Deadpan expression)
Sarah: ...Wait, you're serious?
Nico: Come with me. And try not to freak out
(Nico takes Sarah to the spot he was abducted from and activates a beacon on his pip boy. When he does, he and Sarah get beamed up onto the mothership)
(Sarah's pupils shrink down to the size of a period at the end of a sentence)
Sarah: How is this even possible?
Nico: Also, I may have superpowers now
Sarah: Show me
(Nico takes Sarah to the shooting range, where her jaw drops to the floor when she sees his laser eyes)
Nico: I know it's a lot to take in, but now we have a private warship at our disposal
Sarah: Are you god's gift to the brotherhood of steel? There's technology here that could be hundreds of years ahead of ours
Nico: But that's the thing. If we tell the brotherhood about this, then they might misuse the technology here. And I don't think they're ready for it. They can barely handle my father's water purifier right now
Sarah: Hmm... Alright, fine. I'll let this be our little secret
Nico: Speaking of which, I have a surprise for you
Sarah: Is it another gun?
Nico: Oh, there's no shortage of guns on board, but no. It's something else
(Nico leads Sarah to a dark room, and when they're both inside, he turns on the lights, and it reveals a window with an absolutely breathtaking view of space, along with wine and nuke cola)
(Sarah chuckles)
Sarah: You're a hopeless romantic, aren't you?
Nico: What can I say? I'm old school
(Nico and Sarah sit down in front of the window-wall while chatting for a while, admiring the shimmering stars)
(Nico pours Sarah a glass of wine, which has aged enough to taste like heaven. He takes a bottle of nuka cola, because he refuses to drink alcohol)
Sarah: You don't drink?
Nico: I'm only 20. And, no. I don't drink
Sarah: You know, this might be the greatest thing anyone's ever done for me. Thank you
Nico: Anytime
(Sarah and Nico's fingers intertwine)
Nico: I love you, Sarah
Sarah: I love you too, Nico
Nico: Who'd have thought some kid you met in a super mutant fight would have helped defeat the enclave and bring you onto a spaceship, right?
Sarah: If you'd have told me that at the time, I'd have told you to see the doctor
Nico: But some of the best things in life happen by chance
(Sarah moves closer to Nico, wraps her arms around his shoulders, and looks straight into his eyes)
Sarah: Such a cheesy line
Nico: Maybe this would get the message across better
(Nico kisses Sarah, and she's more than happy to reciprocate)
Sarah: Message received
(Sarah leans on Nico)
Nico: What is it you want most in life?
Sarah: The brotherhood's been my whole life, which has been great and everything, but when I'm with you, it's just... so much more
Nico: Now who's spouting cheesy lines?
(Sarah elbows Nico, who laughs)
Sarah: Just shut up and kiss me
Nico: Is that an order, sentinel?
Sarah: You bet, paladin
(Sarah wraps her arms around Nico's shoulder and looks straight into his eyes)
(Nico wraps his arms around Sarah's lower back, both of them in the star light)
(They lock lips and close their eyes with the galaxy in the background)
