After I hit Dib I didn't know what to do so I fled the scene hoping nobody else saw that, I was stressed and bombarded with my own questions, what if Zim and Gaz snitched on me, what if somebody else saw that, what if the principle saw that, what if the law enforcement saw that, but then I remembered they don't have the budget for law enforcement at a school.
My stress eventually went away when the bell rang, but the stress came back as quickly as it left when Dib and I were called down to the office.
I tried walking down to the office without making eye contact with Dib, but I knew he was drilling holes into my head.
We walked into the office, and I walked towards an earth plant, it looked similar to the artificial plants we had on our home planet Irk, while Dib gave the office lady the information on like, who is our teacher, and who sent us, that kind of stuff.
Soon enough our names were called, and we walked into the Vice principal's office. For once I was genuinely confused, I mean I haven't been here before, and I'm an alien, how am I suspected to know everything about this filthy planet, what even is a "vice" anyways. When we were inside her office, Dib sat down in a chair, and I sat down in a chair next to him.
"Do either of you know why your here." then I knew why I was here, I mean, I already knew this was going to happen, but now I know for sure. so, then I gave Dib the 'you better not snitch or else' look. Dib was just about to speak when I interfered "no idea, sir." I think I offended her cause she said, "I am a woman, so you will call me ma'am and only ma'am." then dib totally saved my life.
"Now-a-days, we really can't tell who's a woman and who's a man because of pronouns."
I don't know how that made sense, but it worked.
(Authors note okay I'm so sorry if that was offensive to anyone, and I can fix it if anyone has a problem with it)
After Dib said that I tried to act human by saying "Yeah, this generation has gone too far." I don't even know what I just said. What is even a generation? Then the V. principal said, trying not to stray from the conversation "You two are here because Koff you punched Dib on the playground." "No, I didn't. I didn't do nothing." I said trying to save myself, Dib commented "Yea you got the wrong people." "I know what I saw," said the V. principal. Soon after constant back and forth the argument ended and we were let go with a warning, or at least I was. Dib and I were walking back to our class when I had to get something off my chest.
"Hey Dib, thanks for saving me back there." "No problem, I'm used to covering for people." "I shouldn't have punched you, I guess I just overreacted." "I shouldn't have said I wanted to do an autopsy on you." "Truce, Dib?" "Sure thing, Alien. Maybe I won't do an autopsy, but I can at least ask questions right?" "As I said Dib, I'm not an alien." We walked back to our class feeling pretty good about what had happened. I walked in and Zim was going crazy.
"ZIMS APPRENTICE IS BACK." he yelled with confidence. "I'm not your apprentice, Zim" "YES YOU ARE, WHAT ELSE COULD YOU POSSIBLY BE." "Um your friend, Zim." I commented "Agree to disagree." Zim said. Zim was so oblivious to the world around him, and I think I know more about the world than him.
I sat down at my seat and listened to constant rambling of "doom doom doom." I swear I'm about to doze off. The rambling went on and on, each "doom" said I became more tired and sleepy, Then, after what felt like forever the bell rang. "Finally." It was time to go home, that was a lot for a first day, but before I could pack up my things Mrs. Bitters said "Koff, I need to see you, don't leave my class." huh, what did I do this time, then the class "oohed." and one even said "ooh Koff's in trouble." I despised this human sound even more than when they talk. Dib looked at me and whispered to me as he was walking past my desk "You're done for." Wow, humans are afraid of their own species. An invader such as me shouldn't me scared of a human, meant to be destroyed.
"I caught you sleeping in my class, Koff." what?! Irken invaders don't need sleep, I wasn't sleeping in class, or was I? "All due respect Mrs. Bitters, I don't think I was." I can't believe I have to be nice to these humans to make sure I don't get exposed. "I saw you dozing off in class, don't let it happen again." She scowled and handed me a lunch detention slip. I have to stay in class for lunch and stay silent. "Ugh." I groaned. C'mon Ever since I got here, I have been slacking, but in my defense, it is going to be hard to adapt to this planet.
I continued packing up my stuff and crumbled up the slip with my other papers, I pushed everything inside my binder then into my backpack, I didn't really understand the point of a backpack, like just carry it you don't need a bag for it all, but since I had to seem human I needed one and needed how to use it, it was also very uncomfortable on top of my PAK. I walked out of the school and into the polluted air, this place sucks, did the massive really need to take over this planet. As I walked outside, I saw Dib waiting for me, I didn't know he thought we were friends.
"Oh, Hey Dib." I said, trying to act like I expected it. "What happened, why did you have to stay after?" he started "Oh, Mrs. Bitters thought I was sleeping during class, and she gave me lunch detention." I answered. "This school sucks," he said, trying to cheer me up. "No kidding, I noticed that as soon as I got here." "Since you're new a lot of people are going to treat you like a new toy, but within a week all of them will probably forget." New toy? I don't know what that is but I'm guessing its good, I tried to cover up my confusion by asking a question. "Your race is that stupid their going to forget?" "My race?" he queried "I meant your classmates." I said, trying to cover it up. "The first day is always the worst." he groaned.
After Dib stopped rambling, we came to a halt, "Oh. this is my house, bye Koff." " Bye Dib." I spoke. Luckily my house was in the same neighborhood as Dibs, so I didn't have to do a U- turn. I walked into my house and threw my backpack on the ground, then plopped down on my human couch. Then I remembered Zim and I agreed to meet at his place after school. I got back up from my couch and got my base keys and left for Zim's house.
