21. Husband pt.2

"He's my husband, Siddharth"

Siddharth smiled and looked down at his wife, proudly introducing him while he felt his heart swelling in adoration when he saw her smile back to life.

Zayn chocked on his smirk and look at them with widening eyes.

"Really? That's so cute. You both look so good together" Reha says with a kind smile not noticing her shocked boyfriend just beside her.

"Husband?!" Avneet stared
at Zayn's gaping face with a smug face and smirked this time.

"Yes, isn't he perfect? You already know him didn't you?" Siddharth smiles proudly at his baby for being so brave.

Zayn knitted his eyebrows in anger. "You think I will believe this nonsense? He was your friend and suddenly become your husband? Good joke" He laughs not believing at all.

"Then don't, it doesn't change the truth nor it matters to me. And what's great then marrying your best friend who understands me and also loves and cares for me sincerely" Avneet looked at her side towards Siddharth with a soft and warm look while a sweet smile was present on her face.

"I couldn't ask for more" she adds and squeezes Siddharth's arm she was holding.

Siddharth leans forward and pecks her cheek, lovingly. Those words just directly hit his heart because of the genuine look on Avneet's face, she was not lying Siddharth could tell and that made him wants to jump in happiness.

Zayn clenched his fists in anger when he saw their interaction and his eyes burn with jealousy and irritation.

"Aww that's so adorable" Reha cooed at their sweet exchange and smiled.

"You look good together" Reha winced when the arm tightens around her waist and she looks at her boyfriend.

"Thank you. You are a good person Reha, I hope you know your worth and find your true happiness in someone who truly cherishes you" Avneet says while glancing at the annoyed Zayn who scoffed.

Reha smiled and nodded.

"Let's go," Zayn said and pulled Reha away from there and stomped away angrily.

Siddharth pulls Avneet in his embrace instantly just as Zayn went away from their sight.

"Are you okay, sweetheart?" he asks worriedly.

Avneet hugged his waist and pressed her face in his neck and stays silent making Siddharth more worried who pecked her head and tightly held her, patiently waiting for his response.

Avneet bites her lips and smiled, the feeling in her heart in indescribable and the emotion is too extreme to handle.

She looks up from Siddharth's neck and smiles widely still in Siddharth's arm protectively while her eyes shine with different emotions.

"I am perfectly fine. It-It doesn't hurt anymore seeing him with someone else" Avneet says emotionally.

"I am free, Siddharth. I am finally free!" She exclaimed happily and digged her face in Siddharth's shoulder while he
tightens his arms around her.

Siddharth chuckled and nuzzled his face in Avneet's hair, feeling relief and jo wash over him hearing his baby is not in pain anymore.

He might be the happiest at the moment.

Avneet chuckled in his neck and looked up smiling wider than she ever did. "Siddharth?"

The latter hummed and smiled.

Avneet smiled and puckered her lips cutely. Siddharth chuckled. "Does my baby wants a kiss?"

Avneet bobbed her head cutely up and down. Siddharth smiled and leans down placing his lips against Avneet's and kissed her sweetly.

"My baby wants a kiss-My baby gets a kiss," Siddharth said cheekily and pecked her once again making Avneet giggle at her husband's dorky behaviour.

Their moment interrupted when the announcement of couple dance could be heard with a slow romantic song in the background starts playing.

"Wanna dance with me, wifey?" Siddharth asks.

Avneet beamed and pulled away just to holding Siddharth's arm. "Of course, my hubby" and pulled him towards the stage.

Many couples started to stand at the centre on the big stage and started dancing. Siddharth pulled Avneet by her waist while he holds her other hand in the air.

Avneet placed her free hand on Siddharth's shoulder with a bright smile on her face as they start swaying side by side while gazing at each other's eyes softly.

"I am so proud of you, baby. You were so strong to overcome the pain and struggles." Siddharth praised her proudly and lovingly making Avneet melt under his warm gaze.

"It's all because of you," Avneet says softly. "If you were not there to hold me and love me, I wouldn't have managed to come this far"

"It's all your patience and dedication darling, I was just a little push-up nothing much," Siddharth said and pulled away slightly and smile. "Let's twirl you around" he holds her hand and rolled Avneet around on the stage.

The loud happy giggles whistled as Avneet was spun around and was pulled up back on her husband's chest with her hands sneaking on his neck and Siddharth securely around her waist.

"But you were the reason for my dedication to overcome this pain, my personal encourager" Avneet said sweetly and nuzzled her nose to Siddharth's and kissing his cheek after.

Siddharth smiles lovingly and whirled side by side with Avneet while staring at her with all the love and affection in his eyes.

"My baby" He pecks her forehead.

The whole scene was watched by the gawking eyes of the male who was gritting his teeth and clenching his fist at their sweet gestures.

Zayn huffed in anger and annoyance that he didn't even care for the women in his arms who he was holding so roughly that it made her whimper in pain.

"Fuck this shit!" He says and angrily stomps away from there, leaving Reha alone on the stage, the tear roll down her cheek and she stares at the couple behind her.

Reha smiled. "Thank you for opening my eyes and making me see my worth. I wish I can also have something like you" she mumbled staring at Avneet and Siddharth lovingly smiling at each other and wiped her tears and walking away from there.

"Wanna get out of here?" Siddharth asked making Avneet pull away from his shoulder and look at his face. "Where?"

"Somewhere I know" Avneet looked around the venue, it was all boring and stuffed then back at Siddharth and nodded excitedly.

"Ok"

Siddharth smiled and grab her hand and pulled the giggling girl outside of the venue.
