It was his own little safe haven. Sonic was more than content in Hell. He found joy in helping sinners, hurting sinners, and his new family at the hotel. He didn't think he needed anything or anyone else. And the demons agreed with him... Sonic was one of them, it didn't matter that he was still living, he belonged in Hell. And so the king of Hell groaned in annoyance as he found himself in yet another pentagram painted with human blood. "We can do this for all eternity, Luci." Lucifer turned to the hedgehog casually resting on the couch in the room. "...First of all, don't call me that. Second, it doesn't matter how many times you summon me, I will not strike a deal with you." Lucifer said. "Oh you will. See I'm immortal, so time can't kill me. You will let Sonic go." "You underestimate your rivals in this battle. The king of Hell, my daughter, an overlord, and several trigger happy sinners at the ready to keep our kid safe." "He isn't a kid." "He is. You can't undo what's been done!~" Lucifer stated with a laugh as Shadow stood and stalked over to him. "I will allow Alastor to take your soul and add your screams to his radio show if you keep trying." Lucifer threatened, but Shadow smirked. "You can do whatever you'd like, Luci, but you can't keep him from me...~" "....You may be 'the ultimate lifeform' here, but when you go to Hell, you'll be an ordinary sinner. Bottom of the fuckin' barrel." "And I will spill all of your blood to claw my way to the top of your little hierarchy if you interfere further with my plans." Shadow threatened. "You won't succeed." "I have killed MANY people in my life, both on and off record, and I will do legitimately anything for Sonic. That includes ripping your head off and using it to beat your pathetic 'army' to second death if you fuck with me." "You don't scare me, Hedgehog. We can settle this in Hell." Lucifer snapped and returned to Hell, fully aware that Shadow will just try again. "Dad! There you are... you've been busy huh?" Charlie asked when Lucifer appeared. "Yup... I have a bit of a problem... but I'm dealing with it." However, only seconds after Charlie pulled him into a hug, they were both pulled back up, and were greeted by a smiling Shadow who was now covered head to toe in fresh blood. "Oh, is this your daughter? Why, I must say she looks beautiful. Despite looking just like you." Shadow hummed. "....Dad...?" "Leave her out of your delusions." "Oh come on, Luci. Eye for an eye?~" Shadow teased, and began to circle them. "Hi...!~ I'm Charlie." "Charlie... Pleasure to meet you." Lucifer kept himself in between Shadow and Charlie, and eventually Shadow stopped with his hands behind his back. "You'll have to forgive me, Charlie. But emotions cause people to do such drastic things." Lucifer tensed when Shadow abruptly disappeared in a flash of green, and panicked when Charlie suddenly screamed. He turned and saw blood running down Charlie's leg, and Shadow now glaring at them. "You're making this harder for everyone, Lucifer." "You- FUCK OFF!" Lucifer tried to heal the wound on his daughter... but somehow... Shadow wielded an angelic weapon. So his magic wasn't helping. "W-why....!?" Charlie asked, trying to control her tears while Lucifer tried to control the bleeding. "Simple. You return Sonic to me, and I will no longer have reason to summon you." "....S-Sonic....?" "Mhm. Give." Shadow smirked but Lucifer refused again and took himself and Charlie back down to Hell. Shadow scoffed, but cleaned up all of the blood. He'd summon Lucifer again in the morning.

Once Sonic was in bed and Charlie was ok, Lucifer called a meeting. "Ok... we... we gotta make some decisions." Lucifer started slowly. "....Sonic has been discovered. A friend of his, Shadow the Hedgehog, knows he's down here and is demanding we send him back up." "No." Alastor immediately denied. "One dude? We can take him...!" Angel Dust agreed with Alastor. Niffty suggested they simply kill the threat, but Lucifer explained why it wouldn't be so simple. "No... It's REALLY difficult for a demon to kill a living person while they're restricted to a summoning circle as it is... but Shadow... Shadow is stronger than we can handle while he's still alive." "How so?" "Shadow has thousands of kills under his belt, if not MORE. He was created to be the strongest, fastest, and most intelligent and durable being.... while he isn't perfect, their efforts proved to be rather effective. Single handedly, he's killed armies of armed -highly trained- soldiers. His chaos energy levels... they rival Sonic's own. Chaos energy is stronger than dark magic." Everyone's confidence flattened except for Alastor's. "Well he can't take my son from me. It's as simple as that!~" "He's summoned me 57 times... TODAY!" Lucifer complained. "Hm... you can bring somebody along yes?" Alastor asked, glancing at Charlie's bandage. "Yeah... Why?" "Next time, I'd like to accompany you. As well as Sonic. Sonic has no interest in leaving Hell, so Shadow can hear it from my fawn himself." "....Fine... not like he plans on stopping anyways... he won't listen to me."
