Heer's POV:
What is this noise? I woke up rubbing my eyes and went to open the door, just to get shocked. The maids were running here and there, some with flowers, some with glasses, some with food in their hands. Then I heard someone screaming, just to see Maa ordering the workers left and right.
"You idiot! I ordered pink tulips, not blue. Can't you do your work right?" Maa screamed at the poor worker who was trembling badly.
"Maa, what are you doing? You are scaring the poor workers," you said, looking at the guy with sympathy.
"Listen, young lady. I told my friends that this is the perfect wedding so I need no mistakes. And what are you wearing? Go and get ready!" she said furiously.
You just sighed, going into your room. You took out your clothes and went to shower. After freshening up, you went outside to see Anaya waiting.
"What are you doing here?"
"What do you mean? I just heard you are going to the spa and I can't leave this chance. My poor skin has been going through so much stress because of you," Anaya said dramatically.
Heer rolled her eyes at her antics. "You are unbelievable."
"I know, baby. So, are you ready?" Anaya said, linking her arm with Heer's.
Timeskip
Both the girls were in the parlor getting their respective things done.
"I'll leave now and come at night, okay?" Anaya said as they were packing up.
"But why? I thought you would stay the whole day," Heer said, looking at her.
"I wanted to, but there is a really important client I got recently and I have to work on it," Anaya said sadly.
"Another client? Aren't you tired?" Heer said, looking at her obviously exhausted friend.
"No, I am not. Besides, this is the only thing keeping me busy and occupied now that you are also getting married," Anaya said, trying to change the topic.
"I'm getting married, not dying. You can call me anytime," Heer replied.
"Yeah, but you are going to be busy with jiju doing, you know what," she said, wiggling her eyebrows, clearly teasing her.
Soon both girls said their goodbyes and were on their way. As Heer sat in the car, she sighed. She knew as much as Anaya tries to put on a happy face, it's all a facade. I know she does it to not bother me, but still, I'm worried. She has had her fair share of problems with her good-for-nothing parents.
Author's POV:
As Heer was thinking about all this, her phone rang, and she saw Reena calling.
