Bam Bam Bam. That's the sound my cell makes when I get a text. In this instance it's also the sound that scared me out of my nap so abruptly that I tossed Brantley off me so violently he landed on the floor

What the HELL was that all about he yelled, wide eyed but still half asleep. Ummm my cell phone I tell him trying to shrink into a ball as I speak. Well why did you throw me on the dang floor? He asked rubbing his head. It scared me out of my sleep. Guess I should see who it was from.

B climbed back into bed and curled up behind me as I reached for my phone. What does Jozie want? He asks me as he lays his head on my shoulder. I'm not a mind reader I tell him opening the text.

Jozie: so how was the rest of the night with B? Did u sleep well??? ; )

Me: well that depends... how are the kids doing?

Jozie: still in FL with the parents. Won't be home for a few more days.

Me: B says u r a shifty little shit. Remind him to thank u later.

Jozie: tell him he's welcome. And so are u. U never answered my question.

Me: I'm not going to. :) You'll just have to wait. What time y'all headin this way?

Jozie: why? Worried the bedroom won't be picked up? Lmao

Me: kinda hard to pick it up when we're still in it!!!!

Jozie: Justin said later. Probably round 5/6

Me: B said that's fine. We should be back by then.

Jozie: where y'all goin?

Me: nosie! lol. No clue he won't tell me

Jozie: have fun and you're welcome!

Me: thank u

What's that look for? I ask B as I lay my phone down. I'm shocked your thumbs didn't fall off or punch through the screen. He tells me playfully. I take it Jozie was givin ya a hard time.

Ya she was but not to bad. I kinda expected it. I say cuddling up against his chest. Me too. You know it's only gonna get worse the longer you're here and the more time we spend together right? B asked me. I could tell his comment and question were leading somewhere. And the thought of where put butterflies in my stomach. Well that and the intense way he was looking at me; trying to read my expression.

Oh I have no doubt about that I tell him with a smile; hoping it's reassuring. Think you can deal with all the craziness he asks and I can feel him lean a little closer. I catch myself biting my bottom lip as I try to answer. Please don't do that. He tells me just as it dawns on me what I was doing. Its hard enough for me to behave with you this close. Let alone when ya do that. He half whispers. I can see his eyes get darker as he's talking

I take a deep breath to try and calm myself down and fail miserably. Because all I manage to do is close the space between us. I open my mouth to answer but he cuts me off. I know I've only known you a few days but I think we can both agree it feels like we've known one another forever. I manage to nod my head in agreement as he continues; but I need to be honest with you. I'm a jealous man. What's mine is mine and for some crazy reason, even though we haven't even kissed yet, I feel like you're mine. Like you've been mine for a long time now.

I can feel my heart beat in my toes as he tells me I'm already his. And with every additional word my pulse quickens.

I know she wasn't supposed to, but Jozie told me you've been talkin to Justin's aunt; about you moving down here when she moves back from New York. That you're going to help her open a practice down here and work for her. I have to wait a second before I answer. My voice didn't want to work for me. Actually I officially took the job two days ago. I hadn't had a chance to tell anyone yet. I'm supposed to meet with Aunt Josephine before I go back to Ohio to work out details.

Before I can say anymore B closes the last of the space between us. The instant his lips touch mine I saw sparks and my blood was boiling. I couldn't stifle the moan that escaped my lips. But what sent me head over heals over the edge for this man was the one word that came out of his mouth as he leaned over me and deepened the kiss; one simple word; mine.
