Chapter 7

-Angelina-

"Hey Loren" I said after she opened the door for me.

"Hey, sorry for leaving you at the race that was very selfish of me but I got an extreme headache" She said to me walking further away while I was locking the door behind me.

"It's fine. Tom drove me home by the way. And I saw you just enter the house five minutes ago, where were you?" I asked her sitting down on a barstool beside her, in her kitchen.

"What?! Did Tom drive you home? I asked Rino if he could do that" She replied with her eyes wide open.

"He insisted, but where were you?" I asked her again.

"I was just at the shop, I bough some paracetamol for my headache" She said pulling up a box from her purse. Maybe I was just overthinking.

"Oh okay. But Tom was actually super sweet to me today, I was a little surprised at that. YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID? he gave me a kiss on the cheek before I left his car" I said to her smiling and rolling my eyes like it was a little weird.

"Really? I mean from what I heard he is usually more "aggressive" and mean" She said making fake air quotes with her hands when saying *aggressive*.

"He seemed nice, i low-key liked him" I said shrugging.

"Don't forget what I told you last night. I don't want you to get hurt." She said taking out a pill from the box and swallowing it with water.

I don't think Tom would hurt me, but I only known him for one day. Besides I don't think I would be with him anyway, I'm only here because I'm visiting Loren.

-TIME SKIP-

It was late. Me and Loren were just laying in bed taking when she got a call. "Sorry I got to take this, be right back." She said walking into the another room.
That's weird. She usually just talks in front of me but I got to respect her privacy.

She came back in a couple of minutes and looked a little lost at me.

"Look I'm gonna run out real quick, Rino asked me if I could have his wallet in my bag at the race so he wouldn't lose it and i totally forgot I still had it." She said.

"Yeah sure, want me to come with you?" I asked with a smile.

"No it's fine, I'll be quick." She said putting on her jacket and heading out.

I went to the kitchen to have a glass of water and spotted her outside talking with someone. I couldn't see for sure if that was Rino. Although I could se that they had a little argument going on by the way Loren was shaking her head to the sides.

They were done talking and I saw Loren angrily walk back to her apartment building. If something bad was going on in Loren's life, she would have definitely told me about it, I wasn't going to push her.

"I'm back!" She said walking in trough her door and taking off her jacket.

"Good! let's finish talking about Jack and go to sleep, I'm already half sleeping." I said to her while patting a spot on the bed where she was laying before she left. She wasn't looking sad or anything so I guess that argument wasn't that important. Maybe the guy she was talking with outside was Jack, her crush from the race.
