Chapter 38

-Angelina-

I woke up in Liam's bed, he was still sleeping.
I had to take a sleeping pill to fall asleep.

I walked out of Liam's room and walked to the room I assumed Loren slept in.

I was right. I walked fast to her bed and woke her up.

"Loren" I said.

"Angelina" she smiled. But her smile quickly faded away when she realized what happened last night.

"I talked with Liam before we went to sleep, Kiroshi is in coma. The doctors don't think he'll wake up" I said laying down.

"At least one good thing happened" she sighed.

"Are you happy he might die?" I asked.

"Kinda, he deserves death after all the things he has done, not only to me but to everybody else" she said.

"What will happen now?" I asked looking at her.

"Shootings happen all the time here in «mafia businesses». However Tom isn't finished. He will make sure to kill Liam and possibly you or... us" she said.

"Why us?" Already assuming why.

"Angelina, he might have been sweet to you in the start, but he's not. He kills everyone that tries to stand in his way, including us" she said turning to me.

I sighed.

We both turned when we heard the door open. It was Liam.

"Good morning, how are you both feeling?" Liam asked.

Me and Loren looked at each other knowing we don't feel well what so ever. "We're alive" I shrugged.

"That's good. I will go out for a quick drive to the hospital to check on Kiroshi. Y'all can go down and make yourselves some breakfast. Everything is... cleaned up" Liam shrug tilting his head to the side.

"Thanks Liam" I said. Then he left.

We made breakfast and sat down on the barstools. The house was empty now.

"At least Liam's nice" I said.

Loren turned to me- "They are all the same".

"Uh, haven't you thought about moving back to Sweden. Because if not- I'm forcing you." I demanded.

"It's not that simple. I would have done it if it was possible" she said.

"Hopefully Kiroshi's dead" I said.

"Hopefully, but if a leader dies or something happens to him, another one gets their position. It's an ongoing game" Loren said.

We were watching tv and heard Liam come back home.

"How did it go?" Loren asked.

"Kiroshi's dead. Tom showed up at the hospital shortly after he was brought there, and killed him and a few other people... doctors" Liam said throwing his keys in a key-bowl.

"Oh..." Loren sighed turing back to the tv.

"I know you're happy about it, you never liked Kiroshi" Liam said to Loren.

"Don't you think I deserve to not like him" Loren said annoyed.

"I didn't say you didn't" Liam said sitting down.

"But I will have to meet some guys... uhh we will discuss about what we're planning on doing with Tom and Bill. We will be at the club. Do you two wanna join?" Liam suggested.

"I'm done listening to strangers conversations" Loren said referring to that this is how she got involved into all of this.

"No, no. Y'all would just hang at the club" Liam corrected.

"Yes, it would be nice. Then we could get our mind off things" I said thinking that it could be a great opportunity to actually get away from all of this.

Loren looked at me and she quickly understood my plan.

"Alright then, we will leave at 9" Liam said before he left the room.

"What are you suggesting?" Loren whispered.

"I can't fucking be around these people no more. We need to runaway. We have to get some money first, and clothes and we can take the train to a different city and we can fly back to Sweden or literally anywhere else. Afterwards we can change our names or something" I said trying to cook up a plan.

Loren sighed- "well, we have nothing to loose. Except for each other".

"Exactly" I said to her and leaning my head on her shoulder.
