i woke up to someone throwing a pillow at me, i groaned. "cmon bill get up, arent we going to georgs?"
i check the time on my phones, 11:27. "one more minute." gustav pulls the blanket off of me.
"start getting ready. were leaving at 12."
"is tom coming?"
"yeah."
fuck. me and tom havent spoke since he blew me off to hang out with anneliese. i dont understand why he keeps fucking with junes friends. its just gonna make her upset. but anyways, ive been staying at gustavs for about 2 days so june comes home tomorrow thank god.
we only have about 3 weeks left of our long break and then we go straight to testing. im dreading every hour that passed. i caved and got up, deciding to shower.
after my shower, i got dressed and found gustav down stairs. its around 11:56.

"are you ready? my moms not home so youre gonna have to drive." gustav says. i sigh and grab my keys from his kitchen island.
we head out and get into the car. drives only like 7 minutes.
my phone starts ringing as soon as i start the car.
i answer without looking at whos calling, hoping itll be june.
hello?
can you pick me up? its tom.

after a very quiet car ride, we get there and go down to his basement where our small "music studio" is but before i could go down the steps, tom pulls me to the side.
"bill im sorry for-" i cut him off, "its fine."
"no its not, we never hang out anymore and its my fault. im really sorry."
toms been my best friend since birth. hes my "older" brother and i dream have some of his skill. we get into so many fights of course but we always make up. my eyes start to water. something about his tone of voice was off and he sounds more sincere. it got to me.
"i forgive you. im sorry."
maybe im just too sensitive. i dont get it.

we practiced for hours and then georgs parents got home with pizza for us. quickly, we ran up and sat in front of the tv.
"do you guys just wanna stay over?" georg says, with his mouth full of food.
"yeah for sure" i say, georg and tom nodding in agreement.
honestly, i dont remember much of what we did the rest of the night. we got super high and i woke up the next morning on the couch.
and then i remembered, june comes home today.
i realized i never included georg and gustav but like... i thought i did
