A/N: Play the song after the first break in the chapter...also a reminder that this is a rewrite of AL so please comment and vote, I would appreciate it <3

Before you begin, I would like to request that you do not comment on the grammar because I write late into the night. I do not appreciate it.

A good majority of my story incorporates my mental and physical trauma, as well as my family's trauma, so do not critique my fic like it's a published book and do not make fake accounts throwing jabs at me to do so. Using Morgana in your username to hate on me and other writers is such a low blow, it's rather pitiful. I'm not going to stop updating because of this stalker obsession anymore. (If this doesn't apply then it's not about you.) This fic is my coping mechanism so only leave nice comments and click off if you don't like it.

CONTENT WARNING:

TW: Horror content, Grotesque Imagery, Religious themes, Body and Animal Horror, Self-harm, Mentions of Suicide, Graphic Gore, Demonic/Jinn Themes. Viewer Discretion is advised!!

There are also SA undertones but nothing explicit, as well as physical/mental abuse. (Not from Tom.)

This chapter will include references to the historical abuse that many South Asian women endured when the British colonized India (before the events of the Partition, as adjusted based on my fic timeline.) The flashback in this chapter to Anya's childhood will touch upon the Qadir family and their ancestral trauma based on my own family history. I am including this as a warning because I know many South Asians can relate, and it can be triggering.
