Queen Slayer

She backs up and drops the gun. Oliver and Akira burst into the room. Akira stares at Sophia's body on the floor. Tears welling in Oliver's eyes. He looks up pulls out his gun and points it to Nora. "Put your hands up!" Oliver shouts. Nora looks up, tears falling down her face. "What.?" She mumbles. "Put your fucking hands up! Now!" Oliver yells, tears falling down his face. Nora puts her hands up. Akira doesn't say anything.. he just stares at Sophia's dead body. "You're under arrest!" Oliver walks up to Nora and grabs her hands and puts them behind her back. "What? I didn't do anything!" Nora says confused. "She tried to poison me!" Nora shouts. "Akira! Please! She tried to poison me!!" Tears stream down Nora's face. Akira is frozen in shock. He doesn't say anything. "Let's go!" Oliver pushes Nora forward. "Akira! She tried to poison me! Please!" Nora begs but Akira doesn't respond. Nora has tears falling from her chin. Oliver pushes her out the door while Akira stands there. Frozen in shock.

"Shocking news! A village girl under the name Nora Woodlock, has murdered Queen Sophia of Townsburg Central! The kingdom right now to Townsburg!! She is being taken to court in Townsburg Central, where a judge will decide her fate." A news lady goes on to say while talking to a camera. Nora is in an orange prison outside and is sitting down in the court room with a guard standing next to her. "Nora Woodlock, you are here facing charges for murder. Is that correct?" The judge looks down at Nora. "Sir please! She tried to-" Nora tried to speak but got cut off. "Silence! I do not want to hear your story." The judge goes on to say. "A little someone told me, that you murdered Queen Sophia because you were jealous of her and King Akira." The judge says while fixing up a stack of paper. "That isn't true! She-" Nora tried to speak again. "Silence! I will not tell you again." The judge snaps at her. "On behalf of Queen Sophia of Townsburg Central, I sentence you Nora Woodlock 28 years in prison for the murder of Queen Sophia." The judge ruled out. "What?! You can't do this! I didn't do anything wrong!" Nora shouts. "Shut up Queen slayer." A guard yells at her. "What..?" Nora looks confused. "Let's go." The guard behind Nora grabs her arm and makes her stand up. "Please! You can't do this! I didn't do anything!" Nora yells. "Let's go!" The guard pushes Nora roughly. "Please! Don't do this!" Nora shouts. The guard takes Nora to her prison cell. The guard throws Nora into the cell and locks it. Nora gets up and places her hands on the bars of the cell. "Please, I didn't do anything.. she tried to poison me!" Nora begged. "I don't get paid enough for this." The Guard groans and walks away. Nora sits on the cold ground and starts to sob.

Travis turns the tv off. "We have to do something.. we can't just let her rot in there!" Travis looks at Akira, who is drinking a glass of whiskey. "We can't do anything right now. I'm not even allowed in the kingdom." Akira sighed. He placed his hand on his forehead. "I'm sorry about Sophia." Travis looks away. "Don't be.. she doesn't mean anything." Akira takes another drink of whiskey. "I hope Nora is okay in there." Travis crosses his arms and looks down at the ground. "Yeah.. me too." Akira sets his glass down and sighs, "Close the castle gates.. and don't let anyone in." Akira looks out the window. "Yeah.. you got it." Travis turns around. "And Travis?" Akira turns around and looks at Travis. "Yes your majesty?" Travis turns around and looks at Akira. "Could you lock the door on your way out? I need to think for a bit." Akira looks away. "Yes your majesty." Travis bows to Akira and walks out the door locking it behind him. Akira sits down in a chair. "God damnit!" Akira throws his glass of whiskey at the wall.

Nora hugs her knees to her chest, her eyes were red from crying for hours. "Nora~" a voice whispered, Nora looked behind her, nobody was there. "Nora~" a voice whispered once again. She looked in front of her and nobody was there. She slowly stood up. "Nora~" the voice whispered into her ear from behind her, making the hair on the back of her neck stand up. She turns around and nobody was there. "Hello.? Who's there?" Nora turns around again, she looks around. She was confused and kinda scared. "You did this.." the voice whispered from behind her, Nora looked but again, nobody was there. "Queen Slayer~" the voice sounded so close to her. But nobody was there. "Who's there?!" Nora shouts. Nobody answered. Because nobody was there. "Queen Slayer~" the voice whispered into her ear once again. Nora felt like she was going crazy. "Please! Stop, I'm not a queen slayer!" Nora yells. But nobody was there. Nobody. Not a single person. Nora covered her ears. The words 'Queen slayer' being whispered into her ear by an anonymous voice was driving her crazy. She fell to her knees and started to sob. "Stop it! Please!" She cried out. A guard walked into the room and stared at her. "Who the hell are you talking to?" The guard said with a disgusted look. "Someone is whispering to me!" Nora cries out. The guard gives her a look of disbelief. "Are you mental? There's nobody in here but me and you." The guard said, he rolled his eyes and walked away. "Dumbass." The guard mumbled underneath his breath. "But... I... I'm not crazy.." Nora told herself. "Right..?"

Akira throws glasses and bottles of whiskey at the wall. "Your majesty..?" Travis knocks on the door, "I hear glass shattering, are you alright?" Travis asks softly. Akira doesn't answer. Travis unlocked the door and walked into the room. Glass shards all over the floor, and whiskey all over the wall and floor. "Leave me be Travis." Akira mumbles, he was sitting on the floor. "You need to stop drinking." Travis says softly. "This isn't healthy." Travis looks at the broken glass. "Yeah, well.. what do you want me to do? I'm a failure as a king." Akira stood up and walked over to the window and looked at the sky. "No you're not. This isn't your fault." Travis sighs. "It's all my fault Travis!" Akira turns around. "Nora is in Sophia's kingdom and rotting in jail and I didn't do anything about it!" Akira yells, tears welling in his eyes. "I failed her, I failed Sophia, I failed as a king." Akira walks over to the table and grabs another bottle of whiskey. "No Akira!" Travis ran up and grabbed the bottle. "Hey! Give that back!" Akira shouted, trying to grab the bottle. "No! No I'm not gonna let you sit here and drink your worries away!" Travis snaps back. "Well, I'm just like my dad aren't I?" Tears fall down Akira's face. He turns around and wipes his tears, trying to seem stronger than he actually is. "Your majesty.. you aren't like your father. Your father was a cruel man. A man who didn't love anyone but himself. And I know that you aren't like that." Travis placed his hand on Akira's shoulder. "We will get Nora out of jail. I promise. We just gotta find a way to convince the judge to let her go." Travis smiles. "You can be a better king than your father ever was." Travis sets the bottle of whiskey down. Akira smiles. "Thanks Travis." Akira nods. "We will get her back." Akira looks back out the window. "I'll see if I can get a visit with her." Travis says softly. "Alright, and uhm.. could you get me a broom? I need to.. clean up the broken glass." Akira chuckles softly. "Of course your majesty." Travis bows to Akira.

"Hm.." a man sighs. "Sir." A maid says to the man. "Yes?" The man looks at the maid. "Travis is trying to get a visit with Nora." The maid bows to the man. "And what is Akira doing?" The man asks, holding a glass of wine. "He's gonna try and get Nora out of jail." The maid says softly. "Mm." The man says amused. "I'd like to see him try." The man drinks his wine. "Is that all?" The mans asks. "Yes sir." The maid bows again. "You're dismissed." The man says softly. The maid nods and walks away. "You're gonna rot in there Nora.. for taking away my Sophia." The man finishes his wine and sets the glass down onto the table.
