Nora groaned softly. Her eyes slowly flutter open. She hears fighting in the room.

"My daughter is in your dumb fucking castle, because of you!" Nora's mother screamed at Akira. "Excuse me? You will NOT disrespect me in my own castle, in MY kingdom that you're currently in." Akira said sternly, attempting to stay calm. Nora slowly sat up in the bed and Akira's harden expression turned into a soft worried one. "Nor-" Akira was cut off. "Nora! My baby!" Her mother smiled and ran to her side. Akira rolled his eyes and looked away. "Mom..?" Nora mumbled as she rubbed her head. "It's okay baby, mommy is here." Her mom smiled and grabbed her hand softly. But Nora pulled her hand back. "Don't touch me." Nora mumbled. Her mom looked down. "I'm... gonna go get you some water." Akira smiled at Nora and walked out of the room. Silence filled the room. "Nora... my sweet baby-" Her mother ran her fingers through Nora's hair. "Why did you come?" Nora looked at her mother with a serious face. Nora's mother's face fell. "What do you mean.?" Her mother asked. "Why did you come? Why now?" Nora asked more sternly. Her mother sighed. "I saw the news. That you were in jail and then I heard you got shot. And I wanted to be there for you." Her mother smiled. "Why now? Why didn't you come for me sooner? Why do you suddenly care now?" Nora started to snap. "Nora, I always cared about you. What are you-" her mother was cut off. "If you cared, then why are you now just showing up?" Nora asked, tears in her eyes. "Why are you here?" Nora asked again. "I told you." Her mother said sternly. "Honey, I think when you passed out, you hit your head. You're not thinking clearly." Her mother said softly. "I know why you're here." Nora said softly. Her mother scoffed and looked away. "You want money don't you?" Nora muttered. "What are you talking about?" Her mother looked at her. "You thought, that if I died. You get all the money that I worked for." Nora said sternly. "You think you're some mother of the year huh? That you can just show up after not caring for me, for 18 years of my life?! You think you can come into my life after not caring for 18 years?!" Nora raised her voice. "Nora please-" her mother was cut off. "No!" Nora yelled. "I don't want you in my life. I don't want you in this castle. I don't want you in this kingdom." Nora mumbled. "I want you to get out." Nora looked away. "Nora, please I'm your mother. I-" she was cut off again. "Get out!" Nora yelled. "Out!" Nora pointed at the door. Her mother stood up with a serious face. She grabbed her purse and stormed out of the room pushing past Akira as he walked into the room. "I'm guessing you don't like your mom very much?" Akira raised an eyebrow. "Yeah." Nora looked away. She wiped the tears in her eyes before they could fall down her face. Akira sat down on the bed and sighed. "Is there... a reason why you don't like her?" Akira asked softly. Nora looked at him then sighed. "My mom... isn't.. a good person." She looked down. "When I was 6, my dad died. On a fishing trip. And... my mom... she drank wine... a lot." Nora sniffed. "She blamed me for my dad dying. So, when I was 18.. I moved out. And never looked back." Nora looked away. Akira looked down. "That sounds awful." Akira mumbled. He looked up. "My dad killed my mom." Akira blurted out. Nora looked up shocked. "Oh my god." Nora mumbled. "I was 17. He made me watch." Akira looked down. "That's awful Akira." Nora said softly. "My dad was hung for it two weeks later. I watched that as well." Akira looked at Nora. Nora sighed. "I'm so sorry." Nora muttered. Akira nodded. They both sat there in silence for a moment. Akira opened his mouth to speak. "Nora.. you know... I'm not who you think I am." Akira looked at her. "What do you mean..?" Nora asked. "Nora I-" Before Akira could speak, a maid walked into the room. "King Akira, may I speak with you?" The maid requested. Akira looked at Nora and nodded. "Yeah." Akira got up and walked out of the room. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" The maid said. "Lilith she has to know." Akira said softly. "Akira, I promised your mother that I would make sure you stay safe. You can't just tell her that you're a-" Lilith was cut off. "That what?" Akira snapped. "That I'm a monster?" Akira said softly. "Lilith, I know you mean well. But I am an adult. I am a king." Akira mumbled. "You can't tell me what to do." Akira turned around and walked back into the room. Lilith sighed. "Damn it Aurie. You had one hell of a son." Lilith walked away.

Leo was in the castle's dining room. He was eating some food that one of the cooks made. He didn't feel like going home. Not with Nora's mother being in the castle with Nora. "How's the food?" Travis came around the corner and smiled. Leo looked up and his eyes hardened. "Fine, I guess." Leo looked back down and continued to pick at his food with his fork. Travis looked away. "Leo... I'm.. I'm sorry about what happened... at the hospital..." Travis said softly. "I just-" Travis was cut off. "You just what?" Leo looked at Travis. "You just thought that you could never be with me?" Leo said softly. "Leo, no that's not-" Travis was cut off again. "Save your apology." Leo stood up. "I'm just some stupid village boy anyways.. why bother apologizing?" Leo pushed past Travis and grabbed his bag. "Leo please." Travis mumbled. "Leo you know I didn't mean it like that!" Travis yelled out. Leo stopped. Leo sighed. "Then how exactly did you mean it Travis? Please tell me." Leo had tears in his eyes. "I-" Travis stuttered. Leo nodded. "Exactly." Leo walked away from Travis. Travis looked down and sighed. He hit his head. "God damnit!" Travis yelled, he grabbed the plate of food and slammed it onto the ground. He knocked over the candles and pulled the table cloth off of the table. He was breathing heavy and stared at the mess he had made. Tears filling his eyes he fell to his knees and broke down in tears.

Akira paced in his bedroom as Nora read. Nora kept getting distracted by his pacing and whispering. She rolled her eyes and lowered her book. "Is there a reason as to why you are pacing back and forth? Because you're distracting me from my book." She raised the book with her hand to show it to him. Akira stopped pacing and sighed. "I'm trying to figure out why your mother would be in my kingdom." Akira looked at Nora. "Well, isn't everyone allowed in your kingdom?" Nora asked, now intrigued. Akira looked away. He opened his mouth to speak to shut it without a sound. Nora raised an eyebrow at him. "When... when you were in jail.." Akira looked at Nora. "I had made a rule." Nora nodded. "Okay.." she mumbled. "No one from Sophia's kingdom could cross over to mine without my permission." Akira says softly. "I'm from Sophia's kingdom." Nora blurts out. Akira looks at her. "Yeah, but that doesn't... wait." Akira's face dropped. "You're from Sophia's kingdom? You told me you were from my kingdom." Akira crossed his arms. "I didn't want to remember living with my mother." Nora looked away. Akira sighed. "It's not a bad thing that you're in my kingdom. But you're not a citizen of this kingdom." Akira said. "What does that mean?" Nora asked. "Whoever is running Sohpia's kingdom has a say in what you do. Which means if they ban her people from my kingdom..." Akira was cut off. "I would have to leave." Nora looked down. "Yeah." Akira looked away. "But, you don't have to worry. I'll figure out a way to make you a citizen of my kingdom. I promise." Akira smiled. Nora smiled back. KNOCK, KNOCK. Nora and Akira look at the door, Akira looks back at Nora and she shrugs. Akira looks back at the door. "Come in." Akira mumbles. Nora's mother opens the door slowly and smiles at Nora. Akira rolls his eyes at her. "Nora, my baby!" Nora's mother says cheerful. Nora rolled her eyes. Her mother cleared her throat. "So, I was thinking.. since you're injured and can't take care of yourself-" She was cut off. "I can take care of myself." Nora crossed her arms. Her mother rolled her eyes. "Like I was saying, I was thinking.. you should come back and live with me!" Nora's face dropped. "What? Hell no!" Akira said. "Yeah, hell no." Nora agreed. "You don't have any say in what she does mister wannabe better." Her mother snarled at Akira. "Excuse me? You will NOT disrespect me in my kingdom. Do you understand that? Or is it too hard for your tiny brain to understand?!" Akira yelled. "She is MY daughter!" Nora's mom yelled. "You think your some good king huh? But in reality, you're just like your father! Yeah, I did research on you. I know all about your father's death. I know all about your mother." Nora's mom smiled. Akira felt his blood boil when she mentioned his mother. "I know about how your father killed your mother in cold blood." She smiled. Akira put his fist into a ball. "He should have killed you too." She snarled. Before Akira could do anything Nora stood up. "ENOUGH!" Nora screamed. They both looked at her surprised. Nora was pissed. "You don't EVER speak to him like that!" Nora yelled at her mother. "He is a better king than his father ever was!" Nora yelled. "You don't have the right to doubt him ever! He is the best man I've ever met since dad died and I will NOT allow you to disrespect him or even talk to him in that tone again, do you understand me?!" Nora was in her mother's face now. She was not happy. "Nora, my sweet baby-" Her mother went to run her fingers through Nora's hair but she grabbed her wrist. "I am NOT your baby. I am NOT your daughter!" She pushed her mother away. "I want you to leave." Nora said softly. "Nora... you're not thinking straight." Her mother mumbled. "Oh I'm thinking straight.. and I think you need to leave." Nora said sternly. "Nora I-" her mother was cut off. "Leave!" Nora pointed to the doorway. "Now!" Nora yelled. Her mother had tears in her eyes. She turned away and walked off. Nora sighed. Akira looked at Nora. "Wow... that was kinda hot." Akira chuckled. "Akira!" Nora looked at him slightly blushing. "What? I've never seen you yell like that." Akira smiled. "You should do it more often." Akira winked. Nora rolled her eyes. "I hate you." Nora sat down on his bed. "Yeah, yeah." Akira rolled his eyes. "I love you too.." Akira thought with a smile.

Nora's mother stormed up to the judge that temporarily runs Sophia's kingdom. "Oh, hello Harper, how may I-" he was cut off by her slamming a picture down on his desk. "What's this about?" The judge asked. "That's a picture of the kingdom next door." Harper says. "Okay.." He mumbles. "I want to ban all of Sophia's people from ever coming into this kingdom." Harper crosses her arms. The judge laughed. "And why should I do that? Did the king make you upset or something?" The judge continued laughing but soon stopped when a knife met his throat. "You will ban every single one of Sophia's people from that kingdom. Or I won't hesitate." Harper snarled. The judge swallowed what felt like a rock in his throat. "O-okay! I'll ban all of Sophia's people!" The judge said with fear. Harper drew the knife back from his throat and placed it into her bag. "Thank you." She smiled and walked away. "You wanna try and take my daughter from me?" Harper chuckles. "Let's see you try now." Harper laughs.
