"Dad, will you read me a bedtime story?" A little girl asked her father while laying in her bed. "Of course sweetheart." Her dad smiled. The dad cleared his throat. "There once was a girl, who loved to write." The dad poked her nose and made her giggle. "One day, she was writing by a tree. When a king walked up to her." The little girl was invested now. "The king stood next to the girl and asked what she was writing, but she wouldn't respond. He then slowly sat down next to the girl and looked at her writing." The dad smiled. "Her words were so beautiful on paper, he wondered how her words sounded from her voice." The little girl smiled, she was invested in the story. "He begged her to speak for years. Wanting to hear her beautiful voice. And one night, she went to his castle. She walked up the stairs and stood at the gates. And when he saw her.. she spoke for the first time in years." The dad smiled, the little girls eyes lit up in amazement. "Her words were simple. Her voice was like an angel." The dad looked away. "What did she say dad?" The little girl asked. "That, my dear. And for you to figure out." The dad tapped her nose. "Now off to bed." The dad got up. She groaned. "But I don't wanna." The little girl huffed. "If you don't sleep, how will you ever dream?" The dad smiled. "Goodnight Nora." He kissed her forehead. "Wake up soon.."

Nora jolted awake into reality. She was gasping for air. Her sky blue eyes darted everywhere around the room, as if she was looking for something.. or someone. "Woah, woah, woah!" The doctor said. "You're alive!" The doctor smiled. "Where is he?" She mumbled. "Where is who?" A nurse asked. "Akira! The king! Where is he?" She said in almost a panic. "I have to see him!" She tried to get up but she couldn't. She grasped her stomach and winced in pain. "Miss, you are badly injured. You can't leave." The doctor said. "No I have to! Please I-" she stopped speaking, she had tears on her eyes. "Please.. please tell me he's okay.." Nora begged. "Please.." she looked like she was on the edge of having a breakdown. "He's fine miss." A nurse comforted her. "He's fine.."

In the castle, Travis softly knocked on the door. "Akira..?" Travis said softly. No answer. Travis sighed. "Akira please... she's gonna be okay, just.. you can't sit in there forever." Travis looked away. Silence. Not a single sound or word came from his bedroom. It was like Akira wasn't there, but he was. Akira sat on the cold hard floor with his knees pressed against his chest. He still had Nora's now dried blood on his clothes and hands. Dried tears on his face. And an empty void that seemed to fill his eyes. He didn't move, or talk. He sat there. In a dark cold room. On the cold hard floor. By himself.

Nora was in a hospital bed in a normal hospital room. She was reading a book. She looked up when a door opened to her room. Travis walked in. She smiled. "Travis!" She said with a smile. "Nora." Travis smiled of relief that she was alive and okay. Nora smiled. But then her smile faded. "What's Akira?" She asked. Travis smiled faded. "Uhm... I.." Travis looked away. "Is he okay?" Nora asked with a concerned look. "I.. don't know. He locked himself in his room and hasn't opened or answered the door at all. I haven't heard a sound from him." Travis looked down. Nora looked away and sighed. "Can I see him?" Nora asked. "I think you should rest Nora, you just had surgery not that long ago. I think you need to lay down and rest for a bit." Travis looked at Nora. "No! No, I wanna see him." Nora moved the blanket away from her. "Nora you need rest." Travis said sternly. "I have-" Nora tried to get out of the bed and immediately felt the pain. She grasped her stomach in pain. She groaned. Travis ran to her side and helped her back into the back. "Please Nora, you need to rest. You can't even walk." Travis said softly. "I'm sure Akira is okay." Travis smiled.

"GOD DAMNIT!" Akira throws glasses at the wall. Tears streaming down his face. "WHY!" Akira throws bottles of whiskey and wine at the wall. Glass covering the floor. He fell to his knees. "Why.." he mumbled to himself. "She's dead~" a voice whispered into his ear. "SHES NOT DEAD!" Akira screamed. Tears fell down his face. "She's not dead.. she can't be.. she can't leave me... please.." Akira cried. "I need her... please she can't die..." Akira was begging for Nora to be alive. Akira had her dried blood on his hands and clothes. He had cuts on his knuckles from punching the walls and throwing glasses at the wall. He needed Nora... he was a mess.

Nora was asleep in her hospital bed. Travis was sitting in the chair bouncing his leg thinking of everything that has happen. Leo walked into the room scanning it. He saw Nora and let out a sigh of relief. Travis looked at Leo as he walks up to Nora. "Thank god you're okay." Leo mumbled. He wouldn't know what he would do if Nora didn't make it. "Hey.. Leo.." Travis stood up. Leo turned around and his face hardened with rage and anger. But he kept it hidden. Leo didn't reply, he just turned back to Nora and his hardened angry expression faded into a soft worried one. Travis looked away. Nora slowly fluttered her eyes open, she smiled. "Hey Leo.." she mumbled with a soft voice. Leo smiled. "You scared me half to death." Leo said with tears in his eyes. "I thought you were dead.." Leo mumbled looking down. "Well, I'm still here aren't I?" Nora chuckled weakly. "Yeah.." Leo chuckled. "Have you heard anything from Akira?" Nora sat up softly and looked at Travis. Travis sighed. "He hasn't left his room. I don't even know if..." Travis hesitated. "If he's alive in there.." Travis looked away. Nora felt her heart slowly cracking. She was staying strong though. "I want to see him." Nora said sternly. "Nora, you were shot. You can't walk right now." Leo said softly. "I'm fine Leo." Nora looked away. "Please just... I need to see him." Nora looked up at Travis. Travis let out a long sigh. "I'll help you up." Travis got up. "You can't be serious, Nora you got shot!" Leo exclaimed. Nora looked up at him. "And he tried to save my life." Nora said softly. Leo looked away. "Don't run into trouble." Leo mumbled. He left the room. Nora opened her mouth to speak but didn't say anything. Nora looked up at Travis as he watched Leo leave the room. She could see the hurt in his eyes. "Things... didn't go well, did they?" Nora asked. Travis looked down. "Let's just get you up." Travis said softly. Nora nodded.

Akira was staring at the table holding a glass of red wine. He didn't think or have any expression on his face. He just looked... empty. Akira was so angry with himself about Nora. He squeezed the glass until it broke in his hand, he looked at his hand and sighed. He looked into the mirror in front of him and saw the black horns that emerged from his deep blood red hair. He grabbed a bottle of wine and threw it at the mirror and watched it shatter. He looked away. KNOCK, KNOCK "Go away, I'm busy." Akira mumbled. KNOCK, KNOCK another knock. "God damnit.." Akira muttered. More knocks came at the door. "I said.." Akira stood up angered, he walked to the door and pulled it open. "Go aw-" before he finished what he was gonna do. He saw Nora standing in front of him. "Even too busy for me?" Nora smiled.
