As they left the bathroom hand in hand, Wooyoung turned to San. "How do I look?" he asked, suddenly vaguely aware of his appearance.

"Like a handsome survivor," San responded, brushing another hair away from Wooyoung's face. They joined the benefit gala again. The main course was about to be served, and the bidding was also about to start.

Wooyoung joined the table with his parents, and the event manager brought out an extra chair for San. Wooyoung noticed a stern look on their faces, but they didn't seem to recognize who San was.

Great, they don't even know who their son's therapist was, he thought, or maybe ex-therapist, Wooyoung added in his head. The other people at the table looked curious about San. San didn't seem out of place because of the gorgeous tuxedo, but they glanced at the way he was holding Wooyoung's hand.

The atmosphere around the table became tense as his parents' exchanged glances. Wooyoung braced himself for potential questions or judgment from the people surrounding them. San, however, remained calm and composed, as if he belonged there. He greeted the others with a polite smile, and his mere presence seemed to captivate the attention of the entire table.

The event manager, unaware of the unspoken tension, began explaining the courses that were about to be served. Wooyoung, trying to divert attention, engaged in small talk with the person sitting next to him. San, ever observant, subtly guided the conversation toward neutral topics, maintaining an air of mystery about his role in Wooyoung's life.

The main course arrived, and the room hushed as the auction commenced. Wooyoung stole glances at San, feeling a mixture of gratitude and uncertainty.

The room buzzed with conversations, the clinking of cutlery, and the occasional burst of laughter. Wooyoung glanced around, taking in the opulent surroundings and the well-dressed attendees.

As the main course was served, Wooyoung couldn't help but appreciate the exquisite presentation of the dishes. The culinary artistry was a stark contrast to the emotional turmoil he had experienced just moments ago in the bathroom. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves.

Beside him, San looked at him with a reassuring smile. "You're handling this remarkably well, considering what just happened," San whispered.

Wooyoung nodded, expressing gratitude for San's calming presence. "I don't know what I would've done without you."

"Don't be so modest, honey," San teased. His hand delicately rested on Wooyoung's knee, providing a gentle squeeze as a form of encouragement. Wooyoung experienced a flutter in his stomach; San had never flirted so openly before. Blushing, he reciprocated by placing his hands on San's knee. A playful dynamic seemed to unfold between them.

Engaging in teasing and discreet touches under the table, they relished in the private connection they shared. San's hand felt warm as it stroked Wooyoung's thighs, making it challenging for Wooyoung to maintain discretion and avoid blushing.

However, their intimate moment faced an abrupt interruption. "I thought you said you were going to find a wife for him after graduating, Miss Jung." The Samsung lady, seated a couple of stools away, glanced at Wooyoung and then redirected her gaze to Wooyoung's mother.

Wooyoung's mother's expression soured, revealing her displeasure. His father attempted to project strength by taking her hand. "We are still planning to, although we deemed Wooyoung too immature to discuss such matters with him in person. We were preoccupied with the launch of the wired-app system, so we planned to inform him a little later," he declared, locking eyes with the woman with an assertive gaze.
