(17) No Thanks

1 month later 

Janiva and Bucky were back on good terms, he pulled her aside at the library during a study group. 

"I need you to help me.." he said 

"With what? You are smart even though you act dumb sometimes." She said 

"That is rude." He said 

"Sorry..what do you need help with." She said 

"Help me get Lia to agree to go on a date with me." He said 

"Uh, no sir. She isn't some prissy girl you can play your mind games with. I love you brother but you are a player and she doesn't need someone who treats her badly. She's my room mate and my best friend I won't let her get played by my brother." She said and walked off 

Bucky looked down "Thanks.." he whispered 

When he got back to the table he gathered up his books, "We aren't done.." Janiva said 

"I am. I'm going to go do my homework in my room." He said in defeated tone. 

The next day he asked the girls in his crew to help win Lia. They helped him formulate a plan. 

He found Lia alone walking to the class they had together. 

"Hello Lia.." he said 

"Hello James.." she said 

"My name is Bucky.." he said 

"You are James to me. Anyways why are you bugging me?" She said as they stopped 

"I was wondering if you..would like to go on a date with me?" He said 

"A date?" She said 

"Yeah I would pick you up at 630, we can go to dinner at your favorite restaurant, and then a movie. Then I will walk you to your door when we got back..a date." He said 

"No thanks, you need to keep the same energy you have always had about me and that is im a nerd. You won't win me over with your charming good looks. So go find you someone else to take out this weekend cause it isn't going to be me." She said and walked off. 

Bucky looked down, then walked to class he sat in the very back. He tried to ask her again and she blew him off.
