Two weeks had passed since the school camp, and life had returned to its usual routine. Yet, something had undergone a subtle shift.

Sunghoon couldn't help but notice a change within himself. Whenever he caught a glimpse of Jake, his perspective had shifted. Instead of viewing him as a mere classmate, he found himself seeing him in a new, more intimate light. There was an undeniable allure to Jake's charms, and it was becoming increasingly difficult for Sunghoon to dismiss it as mere friendliness.

As the days passed, Sunghoon grappled with the realization that he might be developing actual feelings for Jake.

-----------------

Saturday night. 9 pm.

As Sunghoon lay on his bed, lazily attempting to complete his schoolwork, a sense of weariness washed over him. He found it too much effort to sit upright at his desk, preferring instead to lounge comfortably on his bed.

Fiddling with the sheet of paper in his hand, he grew increasingly restless, his boredom reaching new heights. He idly tackled a math problem, his mind briefly pausing as a random thought intruded. It centered around Yuna.

As Sunghoon pondered on the absence of Yuna, he realized it had been quite some time since he'd seen her around.

The memory of that incident in the cafeteria flashed through his mind. She must have finally given up, he thought.

Suddenly, his train of thought was interrupted by the shrill sound of his phone ringing. He picked it up and answered it.

It was none other than Jay, and they engaged in conversation as Sunghoon gathered his school supplies from the bed, deciding to call it a night on academics for now.

As Sunghoon continued his conversation with Jay, he aimlessly roamed around his apartment, their voices echoing softly in the sparsely furnished space.

His stomach decided at that moment to remind him of its emptiness with a subtle grumble, an unmistakable calling from within. He paused, realizing it was time to satisfy his cravings. Yet, it wasn't a hearty meal he desired; instead, the craving for something sweet took hold of him.

With a swift motion, Sunghoon donned his hoodie and set off for the nearby convenience store.

-------

Sunghoon was engrossed in his phone conversation with Jay, his attention divided as he fumbled with the bag of snacks in his hand.

As he walked, his gaze happened upon a familiar figure standing a few meters away. There, gripping a streetlight, was none other than Jake.

Sunghoon's pov

"Weird..What is he doing there?"

Sunghoon glanced at the time on his phone, noticing it was just past midnight. He observed as Jake took a few precarious steps away from the streetlight, his legs quivering as if it was a struggle to stand.

Sunghoon's eyes widened with concern as he registered the sight before him.

"Is he...sick?" he thought aloud, his voice barely above a whisper.
