Jake, whom Sunghoon wanted to avoid the most now.
He was finally starting to get a grip on himself.

Seems like he lost it again. -_-

Okay back into the story-

Sunghoon abruptly recoiled, swiftly distancing himself from Jake. He put a good three feet of space between them.

Jake couldn't help but be taken aback by Sunghoon's sudden push-off.

Jake muttered under his breath, "Rude."

Sunghoon caught Jake's remark and let out a scoff in response.

Sunghoon retorted, "Rude? I am far from being rude!"

Jake questioned indignantly, "Then why did you push me away like that? I just saved you from an accident! The least you could do is show a bit of gratitude and manners."

Sunghoon let out a frustrated huff, his emotions in turmoil. He was consumed by a mix of anger, sadness, and conflicting feelings toward Jake.

In a detached tone, he managed to mumble, "Thanks."

Jake was about to respond, but before he could, Sunghoon turned away.

He walked off to his own direction. Jake's here left speechless.

Though part of Sunghoon longed to remain and talk things out, he knew he couldn't. The wound Jake had inflicted on him was too deep to easily brush aside.

Jake followed behind him like a lost puppy. He wanted to know why is he behaving like this suddenly.
He called behind him.

Jake: "Hoon, wait!"

Jake calling him made his heart beat more intensely. He kept walking.

Jake: "wait-"

...

Jake called out urgently, "Sunghoon!"

Sunghoon whirled around and snapped, "WHAT!"

His voice was louder than he had meant it to be. Jake stood frozen in place, speechless in response to Sunghoon's outburst.

A gentle gust of wind blew, causing Jake's hair to flutter gracefully. A pang of conflicting emotions swelled within Sunghoon, his heart torn between the desire to close the gap between them and hold Jake tightly and the lingering pain caused by the past.

Sunghoon's pov

"Sim Jake, stop charming me."

With immense self-restraint, Sunghoon held himself back.

Jake questioned, a look of concern etched across his face, "I- What's wrong? Why are you acting this way??"
