Chapter Twenty Eight

*Later that day*

Luke's POV
I looked over at Alex, who was shivering. I smiled and took off my hoodie slipping it on her. She smiled gratefully at me and zipped it up.
The hoodie was pretty big on her, but Alex looked adorable. "Aren't you cold now?" She asked me. "Nah, I'm kinda used to it by now" I replied grabbing her hand and lacing our fingers together. "You two are so cute" Ashton said smiling. "Thanks" Alex said squeezing my hand gently.
"Ash, are you ok with not having a girlfriend?" I asked. "Yeah. I do feel like a fifth wheel sometimes, but I deal with it. Plus, even if I did get one, it wouldn't last. I would be so busy touring with 5SOS, so I won't get to see her that much. It wouldn't last" Ashton said shrugging. We nodded and continued walking towards the hotel.

(Back in LA)

Jessica's POV
"Do you think we should tell Alex?" Christian asked. "Yeah, I mean, after all, she is our best friend" I replied blowing a strand of my dirty blonde hair out of my face. "How do you think she would react?"
"Honestly, Alex would be happy for Will. She used to have a crush on him, but now that she's so head over heels for Luke, she would be thrilled"
Christian nodded and looked over at Will, who had his arm wrapped around his girlfriend. Her name was Katie and she had long wavy brown hair that went past her shoulders, forest green eyes, long legs, tan skin, and wore blue glasses. She was extremely nice, but there was something very off about her. "I don't think I trust Katie" I whispered to Christian.
"Me too, she's hiding something and we have to figure out what it is" He said softly. I sighed and thought" Alex, if you were only here, you could help us figure out this Katie girl" I whipped out my phone and texted Alex about the whole situation. I needed help. Now.

(Back in London)

Alex's POV
My phone went off, making me jump.
Worse enough, my ringtone went off which happened to be "Good Girls"
I saw that I had gotten a text from Jessica. A huge smile spread out onto my face. I haven't talked to Jessica in ages. The text read: Hi bestie! Long time no talk. I miss you, and so does Will and Christian. Oh, and I don't know if you know this, but Will has a girlfriend. I know. Shocking. The idiot actually got a girlfriend! I don't know how he does it. His girlfriend's name is Katie, and she's very pretty/nice.
You'll love her. But I think that she's hiding something. Katie always seems to be too nice, but I think that is all an act. What do you think?
Wow, I thought. "I don't know. Just watch her I guess. Observe her behavior" I texted back.

Jessica's POV
My phone went off, signaling that I had gotten a reply from Alex.
It says: I don't know. Just watch her I guess. Observe her behavior.
"Who are you texting?" Will asked.
"Oh I'm just texting Alex, I haven't talked to her in ages."
"Oh, now I remember what I was going to text her!" I exclaimed.
I reply back: Are you coming back to LA? A few seconds later, Alex's reply came. It said: Yeah, in about three months. Then I can help you with the whole Katie situation.
I reply back: Great! I'll just stalk her for three months *insert evil laugh here*

Alex's reply to that was: Don't be so creepy!

I texted her back: I'm just kidding, haha 😂

Alex's reply: Good. Well, I have to go. Luke and the rest of the boys want to watch a movie.

I text her back: K bye!

(Back in London)

Alex's POV
"So what movie are we going to watch?" Michael asked as he shoved s piece of popcorn in his mouth.
"Forrest Gump" Ashton replied simply.
Michael's green eyes lit up at the mention of his favorite movie.
I snuggled deeper into Luke, resting my head on his chest. Life is good, I thought.
