"Yes and you must be Jason Young" Emily smiled back as she shook his hand.

After their handshake Jason walked over to pull out Emily's chair as she sat down then returned to his seat after pushing her chair closer to the table.

"Well your mother was right you are a very beautiful woman Emily" Jason smiled as his eyes did a once over her appearance. "Very beautiful" he said lowly but primal.

"Well you look handsome yourself" Emily said shyly feeling maybe her choice of attire was a bit too sexy but that was just her thoughts.

"How did you meet my mother again?" she asked curiously.

"Oh we met at the grocery store. She was in the produce aisle and so was I, so she walked up to me and asked if I was single and I said yes"

"She also mentioned that she had a daughter that was single as well and wanted to know if I would mind being set up on a date, I told her I didn't mind at all"

"Oh well that's my mother always trying to set me up" she gave a small nervous chuckle but shook her head in her mind to know that her mother will always meddle in her love life.

"Well i'm glad to have met her and you too Emily" he said smoothly with a smile.

The way he said her name was smooth but not as smooth and as seductive as Hakeem's voice. Oh no here we go again as her thoughts shifted to the one man she tried to get out of her brain. For Heaven's sake she was on a date with a very handsome man but she didn't get the same butterflies and feelings like she did with Hakeem.

"Hello my name is Carlos and I will be your waiter for the evening, what would you like to drink Miss?" the waiter smiled since he had already gave Jason his drink order.

"Um i'll have a glass of Moscato wine please"

"Okay I'll get your drink order in and are you two ready to order?" he asked after writing down the drink order.

"Yes we are we will have your fettuccine Alfredo pasta the bucca small bowl please" Jason ordered for the both of them.

"Okay I will have that ready for you all soon but in the meantime you i'll get you some bread to enjoy while you wait for your meal." the waiter smiled before walking way to place their order in and grab a basket of bread for them.

As they waited for their food they struck up a little small talk to get to know one another. Emily shared that she was the youngest of two because she had an older brother. She also shared that she was a guidance counselor at he old Alma Mater high school. Jason shared that he owned his own law firm and has been a lawyer for five years now. He graduated top of his class from Harvard Law School. She was in awe at how sophisticated and educated he was and how he exuded power. Emily was still taken back from his take charge nature. He never did asked what she wanted to eat since he chose their entree for them. Making that decision without consulting her made her a bit upset. What if she didn't like what he ordered or was allergic. Jason was sweet but seemed to be a bit demanding in Emily's eyes.

About 15 minutes later the waiter returned with a piping hot bowl filled with fettuccine Alfredo as he placed it in the middle of the table.

"Here you two are enjoy and let me know if you need anything" the waiter smiled before leaving to check on his other tables.

Grabbing the big metal spoon that was in the bowl Emily spooned out some of the noodles onto her plate and gave the spoon for Jason to do the same. Emily bowed her head and said a silent prayer to give God thanks for the food in front of her and once she opened her eyes Jason had already dug into his plate of Alfredo.

"So Emily why are you single?" Jason asked after taking a bite of his meal.

"Um...I just haven't found that man that will always be there and love me for me" Emily shrugged as she avoided eye contact with Jason.

"Well if you were mine you wouldn't have to worry about me ever leaving you" he said firmly.

Emily just nodded at his comment because it sounded very demanding instead of sincere. The date was going well but the slight looks and his tone of voice kind of set her back but she waved that feeling off and tried to enjoy the rest of the night.

"Why are you single" Emily asked after wiping her mouth with the white cotton napkin on that she placed on her lap.

"Well being a busy man it's hard to find a woman that can keep up with me and one that is not after my money" Jason sighed after wiping his mouth as well.

"I see, well money isn't everything it can't bring you true happiness"

"Isn't that the truth. Money is nice but I'd rather have love and who knows maybe you could be that woman for me" he flashed a sexy smile.

Feeling shy Emily just gave him a weak smile and changed the subject to a lighter topic.

Hakeem walked in with his parents for their reservations that were made for the evening. After sitting at the table their waitress came to take their drink order. His mother and father ordered water while he ordered glass of red wine. Spending time with his parents is something he enjoyed but kind of dreaded when it came to talking with his mother. His mother was a middle aged woman in her early 50's. She didn't look a day over 35 years old with her jet black hair that was tied in a bun at the back of her head. She always had her make up and nails done to keep up with looking hip with the younger generation. His father was about 54 years old with a little grey speckled in his beard. He was a wise man that always supported Hakeem's dreams. They were loving parents and were proud to call him their son. Even if he married the devils spawn also known as Geneva, Hakeem's now ex-wife.

Hakeem tried to engage in the small talk his parents were having but something caught his eye to the right of him. Looking over he saw a woman wearing a black spaghetti strapped dress that hugged her body well. He didn't intend to stare but he couldn't  take his eyes off of her. Her short haircut reminded him of someone he knew. Catching a glance once she turned around to say thank you to the man that pulled her chair out for her he finally saw her face. Sucking in a sharp breath his body hardened at the sight of her. Emily Watson. The one woman he couldn't get out of his thoughts. Seeing her all dressed up outside of work made his heart pound against his chest. But what upset him was the fact that she was with a man in which was not him. Seeing her smile at him made him clench his jaw in anger and jealousy. Who was this guy? Did she have a boyfriend?

"Hakeem are you listening son?" his mother asked noticing how distant he was being.

"Oh I'm sorry mother what were you saying?" Hakeem asked with a tense smile to redirect his attention back to his mother.

"Were you day dreaming son? if so it seemed like whatever caught your thoughts made you upset" his mother gave him a concerned look.

"I'm fine mother" he said as he took sip of his wine.

Deciding to change the subject Hakeem asked his mother about church and the different ministries she was involved in. Knowing his mother will go on and on Hakeem decided to steal another glance over at the table where Emily sat with her date. He saw that the man tried to touch her hand but she quickly removed it from the table to her lap. Seeing that gesture made him smile that the man isn't having a good effect on her. Hakeem decided that come Monday he will send her an e-mail saying that he needed to speak with her about the improvements of the team from her idea. Then he would sneak in asking her out on a date somewhere in the conversation. Thinking his plan should work he turned his attention back to his mother who was still talking.
