DAISY NOTT
After the encounter with Draco at the astronomy tower I was left puzzled, he's not a good person: from every story I've heard. And I want nothing to do with him. Of course that's hard when you sit on a table with him everyday, and when I look into his eyes there is something he isn't showing. Some darkness that envelops him that I can't help but want to fix.
I gasped awake, recovering from a nightmare.
Turning over to look at my alarm clock, I jumped up quickly beginning to gather my books together as my lateness would not be forgotten lightly by Snape.
I threw on my robes brushing my long, brown curls in the mirror and frantically scrubbing my teeth. Slipping into my shoes I laced them quickly as I leapt out of the dorm. I ran through the common room and rushed busily around each winding corridor. A sharp gust of wind swept my hair directly in front of my eyes as I rounded a sharp corner blocking my vision. I scrambled, pulling it from my face until I collided with someone hard. The books flew from my grasp and scattered.
The person pulled back, cold and unnerved by my clumsiness. I felt frigid, stuck looking down. A pair of icy hands met my shoulders tightly steadying me as goosebumps began to form on my skin from his tender touch. Pulling my hair back I met his face. His sharp features were instantly recognisable, Draco Malfoy. I met his eyes slowly expecting cruelness but worry flooded them.
"Are you okay." He spat, a sentence I did not know could be said so cruelly as his eyes were filled with concern.
I nodded slowly brushing myself down and holding my feet steady on the floor as not to wobble. He spun around and began gathering my books from the floor unphased by the collision as Theo rounded the corner.
"Dais, what happened?" He expressed with worry, rushing over to me doing a once over.
"Just her clumsiness, she's alright though." Stated Draco coolly rising and handing my books to me with a smirk.
"Oh Draco, I woke up late and-"
Theo wrapped me in a tight hug quickly interrupting my apology.
"I'm so glad you got the clumsy trait from dad and not me." He laughed
I laughed at him pulling away, flashing a quick awkward smile to Draco mouthing sorry as we began walking at a reasonable pace now to breakfast.
After breakfast I gathered my books and headed toward the meadow. I knew again that I would find Luna sat collecting flowers and singing quietly to herself. Her pale hair seemed to grow longer everytime I saw her
